    If you end up looking into this, let me know. I've been thinking about adding a panel to the roof rack of the cap. Still need to research it more but of course I want to make it removable and easy connections.

    I came across this the other day when I was looking into panels, wiring, etc. This dude seems like he has some good info - entire series on solar. Check it out.

    ive always used brass wirewheels on blocks. never hurt anything. but i do it with no pistons or anything so i can make sure nothings shed into the engine.... for yours.. id use scotchbrite pads and wd40

    Wire wheeling Pistons tops is like one thing I know you can do haha. I just don't wanna have to fix a knick or something. If it was someone elses engine I know I could do it with a wire wheel and be fine but this bitch gotta hold boost.

    i've got a brand new 3.5 sitting in my bay at work.. piston #2 blew apart at 8 miles. yay...

    2 new heads and a short block with 8 new valves. and a new timing cover... (WHY WONT TOYOTA JUST SEND A LONG BLOCK)

    its actually a great engine... we havnt had many failures. nothing we've had has been a complete failure other than this one. Its just a terrible engine for a truck, great in a car. the powerbands just all wrong for a truck

    this was a brand new highlander with 8 miles on it

    Cylinder #2 piston shattered for no reason. Found nothing loose. Pretty sure it was just a bad casting on the piston. It’s going to Toyota to get xrayed and all that fun stuff to find the failure pokt

    THE USE OF "SURFACE CONDITIONING DISCS" -
    WHEN CLEANING ENGINE GASKET SEALING SURFACES, AND/OR CLEANING PARTS FROM AN ENGINE WHICH ARE TO BE REUSED; SURFACE CONDITIONING DISCS (TYPICALLY A WOVEN FIBER PAD DESIGN) WHICH CONTAIN ABRASIVES, SUCH AS A HIGH AMOUNT OF ALUMINUM OXIDE, ARE NOT RECOMMENDED.

    I'm well aware of that, hence why I don't use rolocs or scotchbright on anything I can't full washout afterwards

    So I guess its totally possible to get air stuck inside the master cylinder. Stupid thing bled out on it's own I guess. Brakes feel fine.

    Mum and dad probably bought it. But I don’t know why they wouldn’t send him to a university or whatever.

    There’s a raptor at my school too, I can’t imagine they have to pay for much atm.

    I knew someone in highschool (my girlfriend's best friend's ex boyfriend) who was about a year older than us and his dad bought him a $70k 2018 duramax a year after he graduated highschool. He decided to go into the navy or something so he just had a $70k truck sitting around. When he came back, he traded it in and now has a 2018 Tacoma TRD Offroad at the age of 19/20 that he didn't pay a penny towards.
