So I swapped wheels/tires and TPMS worked for a couple of weeks and yesterday I just get dashes all of a sudden. The light isn't on or anything. I had to go to the pressure page to notice.

Any idea what that can be? I tried to reset and the light blinks 3 times and goes out but after driving around for a bit, I don't see pressures, just dashes.

Is it normal for the tire pressure light to be off even though nothing is showing in the pressures?

Maybe flat batteries in the sensors

All four going out at once? That would suck if they sent me old TPMS :/ Wouldn't the light be on though?

Dunno, didn't realize it's all four. Probably not batteries then. Could be the tire pressure ECU or just a loose connection somewhere

Did you swap the TPMS or get new ones. If new are they OEM. 3rd gens require a 7 character hex address, all priors and most knockoffs are 6 and won’t work. Are the original sensors in your garage so they get picked up on startup, but then are “out of range” for the reading?

Did you reregister or register the TPMS after the wheel swap.

See the middle of my build thread for a whole story on what it took to get mine to register.

You may be headed to a dealership.

Drive on them for a day or two. They will come back, takes time to reset. Just happened to me last week.

I got new TPMS with the new wheels. Can they really link up to the old wheels when they are 15 feet away? If so, maybe they did that each morning, but I could have sworn I saw the pressure after restarting at work too.

I did the reset and the light blinks 3 times slowly then stays off. I might need to get a tool to see if they are registering but not working like your experience.

These are the sensors I got:

Those don't look like Toyota OEM stuff. You need the EXACT Toyota part. About 60 bucks a pop.
    Here you go.

Ok. Did you reregister them or just the dash reset. New TPMS need to be registered (with a TPMS tool). That’s not the same as the dash button that resets the idiot lights after you air down.

    Ah, no then. Ugh.

I'll buy the tool or take it in to a shop. If I get the tool I'd probably get the same brand as the sensors (link).

Since it is new. Wait for the next free service at dealer they should do it for free since they have to do it every time they rotate the tires.

That's a good idea. Hopefully they'll do it even though it's not OEM.
