I do notice some delay with throttle response and obviously the transmission shifts more than I think it should. The question is does the OVTune clear up these issues completely.
I have 18" wheels and the tires 32" are increase in tire height 1.5" more than stock, that causing a little lag be cured with this tune. Once in the throttle it rockets off considering it is a V6 truck. The bottom torque is what I fell lacking, for those seeing a improvement in this area give me the good and bad info you have seen with your purchase.
If it make the trans hold gear, give crisper throttle response and 20HP I would go for it. Maybe great maybe not, last vehicle I owned was 2002 4.3 and lot has changed in transmissions and no throttle cable since those days.
Thanks for any info from owners with OVTune to make a decision on purchasing this, if it is worth it or not.

Get OVTune, it’ll solve all of your issues with throttle and shifting and if it doesn’t, custom tuning will soon be a thing to perfect your truck for you

There is a thread stickied with reviews, read through those.

A new version is dropping tonight, so more improvements are in the pipeline, but from my experience the current build calms the shifting down quite dramatically. Still has some hunting on the highway, but again that's apparently addressed in the new update.

Throttle lag is cleared up from what I can tell. And as for power, it puts out 20-25 more hp and tq on 91 octane, the first page of the ovtune thread has more detail on that.
