**OHIO WHEELIN' & MEET-UP THREAD**

Your tires are probably the most important part. Aside from steep inclines I rarely end up needing 4x4 through the winter unless it's really bad out

 

I had a Civic with some General Altimax tires a few winters ago. Great tires. I remember passing a Prerunner going up a hill through our neighborhood. He had to back down, lol.

Takeaway is good tires and weight on the wheels.

EDIT: Itwas an '07 MT Coupe Civic, too, so no traction control and not too heavy.

 

Hey, I had a '07 mt Civic EX coupe, too. It got totalled in a parking lot in Millersburg. Lady had a heart attack, came off the road, hit it, ramped into the building, and hit me sitting on the couch. I dragged her out, did CPR, and she actually lived... and her fucking insurance fought the claim. I had to sue her to get my car replaced.

Off topic as fuck, but I really loved that car. The manual made it so fun to drive. I put over 100,000 mi on it without any issues at all when it got totaled.

 

Jesus, you can't make that stuff up! Just curious: on what grounds was her insurance fighting you to replace your car?

DAMN! That's awesome and sucks at the same time! I loved that car, too, but as you've pointed out in the past, kids ruin everything. Since we had twins on the way I had to trade it for an Accord. Loved that Civic, too.

 

This was at Smith Ambulance station on S Washington near Wal Mart. Lucky her, she drove into an ambulance station!

 

It's been like 8 years, so I can't remember the exact reason. It was either that she had an emergency medical situation and the insurance didn't cover emergency medical situations, or they said that it was a pre-existing medical condition that caused the emergency medical situation and they wouldn't cover a crash caused by a pre-existing medical condition. It was one or the other, but I don't remember which. Either way, ridiculous. Nationwide Insurance, kids. It's good stuff.

I had no idea my car had even been hit until after we were pulling her out of the building on a backboard to transfer her over to the Millersburg squad for transport to the hospital. I was doing chest compressions on her as we moved her and I looked up as we got towards the ambulance and saw that my car was destroyed.

4 link rear and straight axle front this winter, its as far as I can take it mid travel. She is a beast of a ifs truck but the time has come. hopefully some of my buddys and I can knock it out before spring. I gotta start selling all this ifs stuff to get the rest of my parts lol
