I have to say that the look of this little foreign truck would draw a lot of attention from the small SUV crowd.

Not saying the Tacoma should go there, but some of it's ideas are the kind of innovation I hope that Toyota incorpoates into 4th Gen

The Tanoak looks better. Not a big fan of the Tarok.

 

They got to replace the tuna boats (cabriolet) with something though. The bug ain't working.

I think it sold well for a niche product. This vehicle is sold in Brazil where 3 cylindar engines an Audi 2 series are popular. What I was looking at was the fold down bed option. That is slick.

Anyways that may have been a little ahead of its time.

This truck represents the evolution market taste from the Camry sedan and RAV SUV. Not really the Tacomas demographic.

I have a buddy who sells custom camping trailers and one thing he told me that blew my mind was that his best customers and strongest market demand is coming from single women who take their kids camping.

You can't tow a small little camping trailer with a Camry, and small SUVs are a little played out, so something like this would probably appeal to a whole new demographic.

Before anyone gets upset I'm not advocating for Toyota to copy the design, more get a clue that the market is changing and make sure they include little luxuries like Apple carplay Android auto and of course power seats god dammit. Ha
