Had it done by a local Toyota builder fabricator. Cost $100 cause they are trying to get theirs name out there.

Picture only shows a gauge cluster with milage, you did assume he took the picture while driving. By said pictures there is no evidence of vehicle moving.

I tourqed my U bolts to 75 ft lbs. I first went to 52, drove it around a bit then came home and said what the heck bumped it up to 75. Seems to be pretty solid.

Mobtown aluminum tailgate skin with the HD hardware. Makes the tailgate come down with a smidge more urgency than with the stock composite skin, but this shit is tough and looks badass!

I did the same thing. Ordered mine and have been sitting on them for a few months. Installed my new Suspension System and I don’t need them. However, since I have them, I might go ahead and get it done anyways.

Used my taco to carry my daughter to negotiate a sweet deal on a new car. Had msrp of $24380 and bought it for $18700. Not a yota but is exactly what she wanted. Good day.

While, increased torque seems to be a logical step toward better holding power and clamping force, i.e. the tighter you make it, the better; this is not true. The way the u-bolts, washers and nuts are manufactured and hardened is specifically engineered for specific applications and torque. Applying too much torque, outside the manufacturer's engineered specs, over time, will lead to metal fatigue, hydrogen embrittlement and possibly the loss of the "elastic" properties of the metal. If you had torqued them to 55 ft/lbs or even 57 ft/lbs, I think you would be ok. Twenty-three extra ft/lbs of torque has the possibility of stretching the metal, and threads, to the edge of the failure point. Add in stresses of driving (potholes or even off-road use) and it can lead to axle-wrap and other damages.

Source: I work with fasteners everyday and in particular, their application in engineered components.

Give it a month or so for the kickers to really loosen up and sound good. I was hesitant to buy this brand but they sound really good
