I did the same thing with my 2nd gen and used Duplicolor Dye, but I doubt they're very different products.

This time it took 3.5 cans (3 solid coats) and I brushed the carpet between coats which made it look even better than when I did my 2nd gen's carpet.

Ouss! I didn't know this was a thing. Now I can make my gnarly gray look deceivingly deluxe.

For $20 cleaning supplies and $40ish in dye, I'd say it's worth it - a replacement carpet is about $100 over what I paid to refurbish my stock one.

I've done a mod or two
How does it smell, my carpet is nasty from bleach stains and other fluids but is physically clean of any residue.

I put the carpet in my 2nd gen the day I sprayed it and by 2 or 3 days later it was basically gone - leaving the windows down during the day helps.

Toyota, who said loctite and philips head machine bolts were a good idea?

Decided to paint the headliner, but got to bust out man's best friend first (the dremel). Going to need a new grab handle...

Got some time this week to gather parts for my rear shocks. Also picked up a bunch of parts for the shock hoops up front at Kartek.

    IMG_0783.jpg

Got new hoses made for converting the reservoirs to remote for $52 here:

Measured the shims to find the valving is 15/12

    IMG_0801.jpg

Went over to King and picked up my shafts that were converted to welded rod ends to clear the brake booster.

    IMG_0797.jpg

Got some other parts for my rear shocks.

    IMG_0799.jpg

Ordered some new seals and lower uniballs, almost ready to put them back together!

    Rebuilt my bypasses

    IMG_0831.jpg

Gained over 1.25" (very conservative estimate) from the brake booster. Ready to start mocking up the shock towers w/ @Anthony250!

just an FYI, the kit will bump a good two or three inches higher if you trim the inner fender some more. if your trying to match the solo hoops, give yourself about .5" of clearance

    Ran some errands w/ @Tacomoto23

Picked up some coil bucket gussets at Solo. Saw some cool stuff.

    IMG_0845.jpg IMG_0847.jpg IMG_0849.jpg IMG_0850.jpg

Next stop was picking up a bumper I bought a year ago from @Croth51. He threw in coil springs if anyone's looking for a 18" 600 or 18" 300 for 2.5's

    IMG_0859.jpg

Hit up King just as they closed for the holiday.

    IMG_0856.jpg IMG_0857.jpgIMG_0854.jpg

    At home w/ the goods!

Thanks Sean! I am hoping to keep what's left of my inner fenders for phase 1 of my truck. I'm getting a dual battery setup in the bed eventually and going to build a cage when tools and time permit, but for now I measured 16.5" from bump to droop. That's what that green linked 2nd gen is getting Bobby said which is fine for my needs at the moment - if I delete the fenders I'll either be doing new shock hoops or an engine cage and max out on up travel eventually.

Run your truck anywhere fun yet? :bikewhoops::mudding:

How / where exactly did you cut your coil buckets? If you have a good photo to show how much I'd appreciate one more person's input before I do it tomorrow.
