I think I am lucky then. But again for me the choice was looks not protection.

Bull bar's are a no go,as they do nothing at all for the truck.

Wait till you get in a front end accident, and see how much more damage the Bull bar does too your truck.

One would think a bull bar would be stout enough to hit a bull.

If the bull bar hooks to the frame, it probably bend the frame on a big enough hit.

And so the debate rages on. For every example in support of one argument there's one to support the opposing argument. I did some reading on a number of other forums and the consensus is mixed. IMHO, bull bars might prove helpful in a low speed collision (depending on design) and plate bumpers can withstand higher speed collisions. There are too many variables to make a definitive conclusion....

And on that same hit, the crumple zones could "activate" without a bull bar. We'll never know....

true, not saying a bullbar will %100 cause more damage on a hit, but I would just think that if it hooks to the frame and you hit something it might bend the frame when the frame would have been fine without the bullbar. to each there own, all that matters is if you like them then go for it.

October 8 a driver ran a red I T Boned him. The body shop guys all said that the bull bar saved my truck from serious damage. All I can go by is MY Experience.

Imho the low profile hidden winch bumpers that leave the stock bumper mostly intact are pretty sweet. But I have a deep rooted dislike for bull bars.
