    Hey all,

I just bought Cali Raised Side Projecting ditch lights and installed them this weekend. I also bought the (supposed) plug and play wiring harness, and the OEM style ditch light switch. I have everything hooked up as should be - wiring harness is attached to both ditch light cables, and it runs to the fuse relay, I have the positive battery cable on the positive battery terminal, and I have the ground wire snug on one of the bolts by the battery on the side of the engine bay, and then I have the switch wires going through the firewall, where I have them attached to my button as instructed, black (harness) to black (button), white (harness) to green (button) , and blue (harness) to both reds (button).

Nothing is turning on. So far I have tried moving my ground wire to other places including the negative battery terminal, I have tried multiple combinations of wire connections between the harness and button, and I'm at a loss. I've spent HOURS this weekend on this "plug and play" set up and I'm starting to get very frustrated.

    Thanks.

You need to reverse the leads in the DT plug coming off the light. The CaliRaised lights are polarity sensitive.

See the post with the picture instructions part way down in this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cali-raised-led-fog-lights-not-working.539338/

I’ve suggested CaliRaised include this in their instructions to save people time and frustration as I ran into the same issue as well as many others on the forum. They said they’d rather handle it through support.

Check the fuse too. I helped a buddy install some aftermarket driving lights once. After about 20 min of trying to figure out why they weren't working one of us thought to open the twist-type inline fuse holder. The manufacturer hadn't put a fuse in.

Okay so I see the little fuse holder that's on the positive battery terminal that then runs to the fuse relay, and there's definitely a little green fuse in there, but I'll try the comment above about the polarity reverse, then probably go buy a new fuse and try that if the first one doesn't work.

Did you pull the fuse out and make sure it wasn’t blown?

Likely need to break out the voltage meter and start tracing the power back from the battery then to figure out where your power is getting interupted.

I did and the fuse was blown. Just got some replacements and the button lit up, but the lights did not. I reversed the cables back to how they came originally, and now everything is working. I probably should have pulled the fuse before I messed with the cables, but hindsight is 20/20, and I learned a lesson for the future. Thanks everyone for the help!!

Do these Cali Raised lights come with Deutsch Connectors?
