Hello TW Community, I've been scouring the forum up and down and have been able to surmise that 255/85/16 likely work with no/little rubbing with OEM Off Road wheels and stock suspension on a 2018 DCLB Off Road.

Curious if anyone has any experience going to a 17" TRD Pro SEMA wheels with a 255/80/17 while keeping stock suspension on their Off Road?

Per the tiresize.com wheel offset calculator, things look promising, but I'm curious if the difference in the two different wheel offsets create issues?
16" Off Road wheel offset +25mm
17" TRD SEMA wheel offset +4mm

My goal: With stock suspension on my OR DCLB install 17" TRD SEMA wheels with 255/80/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W

Thoughts? Experience? Link to confirmation of this somewhere already on TW or somwhere else on the internets?
    Thanks... J

I have the 4runner wheels with KM2's in 255/80R17. They fit.

I have TRD Sema wheels with 255/80/17 Cooper St Maxx tires. Now I'm sporting a couple of inches of lift, but before that, I ran the skinnies on stock OR suspension. The tires rubbed some plastics, so I had heat and form/bend a few spots on fender liner, and also had to cut off a few little pieces here and there. I still get a rub (somewhere) sometimes at full stuff with wheels turned just right, but not often, and not during typical on road commute.
Here are some of the older pics, soon after got the wheels installed, and before the lift. Also, I use plasticolor mudflaps (not pictured here)

Badass, thank you guys. With the size picked, all I need to do now is figure out the tire. I’m between the ridge grapplers and the st maxx. I know the grapplers run big but it’d be awesome if they fit with no major issues.

@Bastek you have a kickass truck. Looks like some fun adventures too!

The St maxx were my first choice but I got a screaming deal on the km2's

Cant blame you there. It is a tempting choice so getting a deal would make that decision pretty easy

I am so pumped to have found this thread. Its been a pain in the ass trying to find the answer for the sema wheel and 255/80/17 combo. Right now the ridge grapplers are my no. 1 choice for that size. What tire did you end up going with.

I'm going to be trying the below combo soon on stock OR suspension.
Fingers crossed the wheel being a tad wider doesn't ruin mah plans.

    255/80R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers + Method 701 17x8.5 | 6x5.5 | 0/4.75".
