First, let me just say i am the furthest thing from a mechanic so please bear with me. I’m not even sure about the right terminology to use.

I went to change the pads on my 2001 tundra 4x4. The driver caliper froze up. After purchasing and returning 2 different calipers , I didn’t know, and the auto parts workers didn’t know either, the the first gen had smaller calipers. Regardless i had one special delivered last night at 6pm. Goes on fine, I proceed to bleed the breaks and then notice the break line spewing fluid even though I had the line secure in the caliper.

Do the aftermarket calipers require different size “banjo” fitting ? Of which of course NO auto parts place in my area even have access too.

I was told that possible it’s a poorly machined caliper.

The bolt screws in and holds but the starts to free spin and not seal off. It’s not a small leak, fluid pours out.

Any ideas ? I’m sure it’s something I’ve done wrong.

Thank you for your help. If it wasn’t for me coming across this forum I would have never even found the right size caliper to begin with.

    Take care
