    Never enough
If you have any interest in landscape photography you’ll likely want a lens with a wider angle.

I agree with Mountainmonkey. The lense that I use most is my 10-20mm after that my 18-55mm, infact I just pulled the trigger on a much higher quality 17-55mm. I purchased a Tamron 150-600mm thinking I needed BIG glass, and while cool to be able to reach out, it gets far less use than any of my other lenses. What do you shoot the most? I thought I’d shoot everything equally, turns out I primarily shoot landscapes.

yeah, long telephotos make hazy flat pictures

wife asks to borrow my camera, which had a 20mm f/2.8 non-zoom on it... her: "How do I get closer??" me: "Walk..." her: <slow burning look> me: "Ok, (rummage around camera bag), here's the (crappy) 18-200 zoom..."

my two most commonly used lenses are that 20/2.8 and a 85/1.8 portrait lens, neither are zoom, both are very fast and razor sharp and very high contrast. note this is on a APS camera, if it was a full frame, I'd probably be using a 28 and 105 or so.

Before getting deep into the Nikon (or Canon) thing, take a hard look at the Sony Alpha stuff. My kid has a A6000 thats a damn good camera, and the A7S is absolutely amazing at low light stuff. The Sony lens system is derived from Minolta, who Sony bought awhile back.

Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting me this camera to start with
    https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/...as/dslr/eos-rebel-sl2-ef-s-18-55mm-is-stm-kit
I used to do a lot of photography in high school and have been out of the game for a little while, but I'm wanting to get back in. Is this a good foundation to start with to work on my craft? Just want your opinions thanks!
I'll post a couple pics that I've done recently

    Honestly, I can't explain it.
Here is the original pic in color, and below the same pic after conversion in Black and White.
I took this on the I 40 in Arizona.

The link is to a Nikon 10-20. I'm replacing a Tokina 11-16 with the Nikon in the link.

I do plan on getting some glass that can do landscape but I have the dough right now for one telephoto glass and camera.I shoot a lot of motor sports mainly drag racing from the finish line area.

Well if you’re photographing motor sports then yes I suppose that a telephoto lens is more applicable. When I got started I figured I’d shoot a little bit of everything, turns out I shoot mostly landscape and scenic followed by astral, Toyota’s on the trail, and mountain biking. Like I said I’m not familiar with Nikon’s but it seems like you’d want a fast frame rate for drag racing.

What's a good photo/video editing software to use on my Windows 10 Machine?
Most photos will be from my Nikon D60 (Raw) and video will be from a DJI Phantom in 1080P.
