Hey TW! I am looking for good trails in northern Utah. I am well aware of Moab and many trails down there, but I live in SLC and am always looking for fun places to play that are not much of a drive. Thanks for all your input!

Where are you located? I live near Weber & Davis counties so that is my area of expertise. I know some Box Elder too.

Buy one of these at Sportsmans, REI, or Cabelas...

If you are on Facebook join these groups...
UTOR (Utah Toyota Off-Road) (a good mix of rock crawlers, overlanders, and explorers)
Expedition Utah (this is more of the overlanding exploring crowd)
Rocky Mountain Tacomas (new small group that is a bit more off-road dedicated)
Wasatch Tundras Tacomas and 4runners (lots of shit talkers and mall crawler bro types but still good if u can stomach some of the BS)

    No facebook...

Winter in Utah is lame along the Wasatch Front. The Forest Service takes away our "Public Lands" by locking most of the gates due to snow and "Dangerous Conditions" DON'T GET ME STARTED!!!!
In the winter most of us go out west past the Great Salt Lake or south past Payson.

However, come late spring the gates open and there is a lot to explore along the Wasatch.

I see you are already subscribed to the Utah thread here on TW so post questions in there. It was dumb luck that I found this thread. Things get buried fast on TW.

    Welcome to UTAH!

I started exploring SW Wyoming, NE utah and north eastern Nevada to avoid some of crowds on the northern utah trails.

AF Canyon can get busy, best to get up there early in the AM.
