I've been avoiding my first gen brethren while anticipating a 3rd green purchase. Still a small voice telling me to replace the suspension/mounts/bushings in my Taco2k instead of buying new. I've only had a legit vehicle payment for 16 months of my life. Hate them

Silly rabbit, everyone knows '95.5-97 is the best looking! I actually own a '96 and a '99. The '98-00 front end was always the red headed stepchild with pop bottle glasses (huge headlights) in my eyes but they have grown on me after installing some clear headlights into my '99. TBH a double cab with '95.5-97 front end and a 6 foot box would be the coolest.

For people running stock bumpers and grills what is the cleanest way to install auxiliary lighting/fogs?

DC the 6 foot bed would be the best!
I don't think it would be soooo hard to mesh the 2 together.
Cut the frame on the straight section under the double cab. cut the frame under the extended cab under the extended and weld them together. then reinforce that with a safe-t-cap section. Then buy a new cab mount and modify it to be longer to go all the way up to the double cab mount.

Custom make a rear drive shaft, extend the brake lines, custom parking break. Add a leaf to the rear springs for the extra weight.

You could possibly even splice the 2 gas tanks together to carry more fuel. (safety and properly of course)

Not that I have thought about it or anything. Don't mind the stack of papers with measurements and the folder of frame pictures from both.

Lol, check out bed bobbing on TTora they cut beds all the time, no need to cut the frame.

I was under the impression bobing was cutting to make it shorter.

How would your replace a 5 foot bed with a 6 foot bed by bobbing?

I checked TTora and found nothing that included "bobbing" from a 5 foot bed to a 6 foot bed. on a DC.

Before I switched bumpers, I replaced the orange light housings in the bumper with clear ones, then I converted the turn signal sockets to be dual filament ones with a signal, power and ground wire. Ran the signal wire to the original turn signal wire, and the power to the corner running lights.

I ran some quality switchback LEDs so whenever my running/headlights were on, the bumper lights were white and whenever I used the turn signal, one would go orange to take over normal turn signal blinking duties while the other stayed white. Turned the turn signal off and they both go back to white.

I honestly loved and miss this set up. It was just so cool.

Thank you @Winkle99 ! I have been frustrated with myself by getting too hurried to find a quick fix to rubbing. I think back spacing/ offset of the steel wheels I have are causing some of the rub. I am thinking going back to stock will help the angles. We will see. If all else fails, I'll just sell the 32x11.50 and go back to 31x10.50 or maybe a skinny 235/85 R16.

Took the camper shell off, here are some more recent pics. IMG_0276.jpg IMG_E0275.jpg IMG_E0274.jpg IMG_0273.jpg

My tire width is 10.8 inches. No spacer. Here’s a picture taken inside the passenger wheel well that attempts to show clearances at full turn:
    CE4BBD89-4084-42A1-B5CB-0B73E9EEB67B.jpg
Ocassionally, after wheelin’, I will see a tiny bit of rub on the frame. I think it occurs at full turn with some compression.

I've been planning on a similar set up. Are those the 16x8 F5's?

Also, what color is the truck? Looks great
