To me, that looks as though there's some resonance between the motion of the hood and your mount. The period of time when a bump is felt through your hood and travels back through the cab into your camera mount.

    Haha! Same here.

I have never noticed it before with a phone camera, but I have also not taken video like that. It does remind me of our binoculars with IS (gimbling optics), but I can't imagine how that gets packed into a phone. I might have to dig out an old phone and give it a shot?

Cant be mechanical, more likely its the software trying to compensate for the jello effect

I'm with you on that with wiggle (jello) effect. Being on street, the frame movement is subtle, but checkout the videos that I linked above (Post 404). Apologies for the portrait mode, but they were spontaneous. Hands on the wheel, right? :D

This is my mount setup using the 1.5in RAM arms:

There can be some vibrations, but that kind of flex is never seen esp since I'm not seeing jarring motions. More of a smoothing?

It has been nice living here, but it is getting crowded. That thankfully finished some roundabouts near use on Filbert. It has been a massive improvement.

We were talking a while back about your parents house. How did the work go on it? Were you able to get it sold?

They're planning to stay in it for maybe another 10-15 years or so. They don't want to move into a condo since my mom likes to garden/grow vegetables and condos have become expensive in Lynnwood too. If anything, I'd probably buy them out and we could either flip it or turn it into a rental with some work done to it. It's harder to find houses with a decent lot size like theirs now.

My buddy does. He does a lot of photography and is still sorting through/editing footage. I’ll ask him for the front tire clip
