I've been resisting temptation soooooo hard this year...last black friday/cyber monday I bought my lift setup from wheeler's. This year with the wedding coming up in a few weeks it's either bills or groceries, everything leftover goes to the savings. Only thing I bought this year was a new pair of hunting boots when Cabela's/Bass Pro had their sale. However I think first post-wedding purchase is (at least the start of) a half sleeve. Been contemplating tattoos since I was 17 and figured go big or go home for the first one.

:rofl:This sounds exactly like my GF. She has been saying that her car won't survive in ME, which it wouldn't ('13 Hyundai Accent FWD), but never really looked. She had heart set on a T4R but she wasn't willing to shell out the $$$ for it. She got a Rav4 instead becasue it was more in her range and she didn't need a T4R. I tried to help where I could to guide her but, I don't know her finances to be able to truly dive deep for her. I have to say she did well haggling the price down to where she wanted but she definitely screwed herself by not going in with more information of what to expect. Biggest screw up was her loan; she didn't get quotes from anywhere since she decided yesterday to finally go test drive and ended up walking out with the car, so Toyota just gave a rate higher than she could have gotten if she looked/shopped around.

I won't say it to her but I ended up better than she did and I got a lot more vehicle. Her monthly payment is more than mine is and she financed ~4k less than I did :facepalm:We are definitely going to have the brightest driveway in Bethel though; Orange Taco & a Blue Rav 4

I've been trying so hard at doing the same thing... I keep telling myself next black friday/cyber monday to do the next big truck purchase. I've been spending way too much on getting this move done & buying the gear I'll need for the new job. Also GF & families are starting to get antsy for a rock to be presented :anonymous::annoyed::frusty::bananadead::bananadead::bananadead::bananadead::bananadead:

Hahaha. My wife has a '14 Hyundai Elantra currently, and is leaning towards a Rav4, but wants the redesign one that is coming out in the next few weeks. I think that will be a fine car for her, but want her to look around at others too since the last we we bought her a car (in 2014) she was forced to make a quick decision because her previous car was 90% dead.

Good call on the rates, too. We have our banking through a Credit Union we have access to from work. Definitely will be getting a quote from them on a new car loan and seeing whatever dealer we buy from will do to match.

If you're gonna get one, at least sketch out a sleeve. Gives you more options down the road.

That said I'll never go sleeve. Just my own preference to have each one pop by itself, one of mine is very unique

Yeah it went from wanting to go in and do a test drive to driving a new car home in the matter of an hour. She originally had intentions of trying a few cars but then said F it and went with the Rav4. She wanted the '19 body style too but, didn't want to pay the higher price for a '19 vs '18. She was also under the gun for getting it purchased because in order to transfer the car up to ME and not pay another round of taxes she had to have the car in MA for 30+days; so she bascially had to buy the car before the end of the week or wait until she moved up to ME.

When she showed me the '19 it looked like a 3g Taco & a Subaru had a baby and that's what came out.

I know, right. I tried to see if it would go through. No dice. Would’ve saved almost $200

Idea right now is to have a consult with the guy I'm planning to use up here, show him what I want but give him the freedom to do it how he wants (his freehand work is awesome). I don't just want a photo copy of a picture inked on me ya know. I'll provide the inspiration and then leave it up to the artist to make it unique ya know?

Not to rub it in but they actually have a couple of coupons today only on tool boxes. Saves like $50 or so. I think im picking up my own xmas gift tonight with one. Been looking at this for a while... Going to get the top portion probably in January. Im hoping for an christmas bonus to pay for it.

Haha yeah it does look like that. She has her eyes on the 'Adventure' trim and likes the 3g styling, but not the Subaru styling. Have to see it in person to make the decision (obviously), but that's why I'm trying to get her to tell me what other cars she likes the look of.

Speaking of... where is our long lost Portuguese TW contributor? Finally color matches his cap to his truck and can't be seen with us anymore?

They just talk about how much trash they can leave on the roadside, how small and numerous the deer are, and wonder why the local (NY) football teams all suck so bad.

I had to do some things at work this morning after the dentist but my wife has been waiting to start her shopping to do it all today. Well its foggy out, so the internet doesn't work and she has been on the phone calling places to order

She's getting sick so she is not amused at the extra hassle:anonymous:

Nespresso FTW. I love them and I don't like coffee from other places anymore. Doesn't matter if it is made in some super trendy fancy machine or one from before @Noelie84 's grandfather even looked at his grandmother. I think their coffee has a very full flavor to it and everything else tastes watery now. Couple scoops of raw sugar and I'm in heaven. The foam on top takes some getting used to. A few buddies of mine from NYC weren't in love with their first cup, but by the end of the weekend were all about it.

You have to order their stuff online, never pay for fast shipping, we always get ours almost overnight for free just using standard. Also, their "buy 20 sleeves and get xxx free" things are usually deceptive and the free cups they give you can barely hold an espresso.

There is a little deer on the road next to mine I've seen 3 times now. About half the height of a regular deer, but developed like an adult and fat as hell. He looks like a little Brian Urlacher deer. Dunno if he got into some steroids or what, but he's funny looking, besides the weird size looks very healthy. I've never seen one like him before though.
