Same here! The reports came from building 19 basement and that building has been cleared. Also 15 minutes prior there was an active shooter exercise, so I think it was some big misunderstanding. But you know how these things go, it's always hectic and information questionable at best.

They called the all clear at the hospital. She's on her way home now.

I know you immediately freaked out. I would.

I'm actually the back up safety rep for this office location and one of a group of floor wardens here. I'm also first aid and cpr certified. technically i just sweep my areas and make sure everyone evacuates but i also have a disabled person i have to get to an emergency evac station. we have safety meetings once a month. we discuss things like active shooter, since we are downtown now. even though i'm a madman when it's play time, when it's time to be serious, i can be.

@Comatose this is all I need for the not a snorkel. Literally just a 90 degree elbow and piece of tubing. Feel free to shop around for cheaper tubing because this is a bit pricey.

I was surprisingly calm. She was in another active shooter situation over the summer while in Ohio and the "feel" of that was much more serious, and I was definitely freaking out then. It ended up being during an active shooter drill and a misunderstanding.

Fast forward to today and 15 minutes after an active shooter drill ended, they called the real deal. So again, probably another false alarm and she's safe in a locked room, so we're really not worried. Also they undid the all clear so they're sheltering back in place? Who the fuck knows what's going on.
