If you had a setup like @Oldie2007 you could off road forever and not pay a dime for gas!

Did you see GM is laying off over 15k workers so they can restructure for Hybrid and EV ? I'd wait, that Chevy could get a whole lot cheaper.

So, if you do the equivalent with an electric vehicle does that mean you leave a cloud of Sparks when you take off???

True, but there is a new breed of vehicles out, and more are coming. They can't keep Teslas on the shelf. He's planning a truck too. My buddy has the new Leaf. Loves it. He also has a Tundra, a Sienna, Prius and has had LC's. He also has a solar system. Lives in NM. He said he loves not paying for gas. I have a hybrid Lex. I can achieve almost 48 mpg under the right conditions. I consider it justification for the 15 - 16 mpg I get in the Taco now because of the lift.

A little something every chance we get.

Well put, and I don't have so many, but our Niro Hybrid gets 40 - 44, which offsets the Taco (no lift, fat boy tires though) at 17-18. And the Taco only gets errand and fun miles...actually, now that I think about it, being retired, that's all they both get! We've had 5 Prius as a family, Son #2 still has a new to him 2012.

Son #1 got/is getting the new Tesla (at some point). He gave them crap about waiting for almost two years now, and they gave him a loaner Sport to go to Annapolis and back for the big Sailboat show. He said they had charging stations en route with no issues. I suppose in a couple years, there will be more, and not just for Tesla. I'm told it takes about 15 minutes or so at these stations. I've seen the Tesla truck - more like an El Camino, but that will be Tesla. Showy.

Chevy more likely killed the Volt because people are buying more XUV, SUV, and PU than cars. That technology will go under those vehicles without a doubt. Soon, no doubt, all that tech will be under all those PU we love to have fun with. If they can balance more electric than gas, that would be fun, and there is just so much torque. And there will be all electric versions that I bet look like the ones we like, but with modified grille work. There's no stopping it!

Figured out today in a pinch the plastic pieces that hold your fender flares on will also hold wheel well liners. Went to check trsil cameras an they busted loose on a wash board road. This is all I had on hand withstood 70mph no more flapping or rubbing noise.

    All great points! :fistbump:

And there is no reason to fear electric. Just the price tags of electric.
I would so roll anywhere in this!
