I know a lot of folks with teslas. They are awesome cars. It ain’t easy breaking the mold of a 100 year old industry. I think it’s awesome there are companies out there thinking differently. It’s great to see an electric pickup concept!

Not trashing the concept; questioning the ability of start-up companies to build something as complicated as a car in any relevant numbers at a modern acceptable level of quality.

The Tesla fan boys have done a great job of running up a stock price that is sure to disappoint in the near future. It's a lot easier to build $85K+ vehicles in low numbers to fan boys than try to build cars "average" people can afford. Tesla has yet to do that.

Mercedes Benz, Audi, Porsche, and Volvo are all rolling out their electric vehicles in the next 12 months, with the other major manufacturers following soon after. I for one would not want to be holding Tesla stock right now.

Elon should stick to SpaceX and leave mass manufacturing to the Big Boys.

Let me know what it's like when it's 13 years old with 166K, like my Off-road...

Those are some pretty nice renderings. No way that’s turning into a 2020 MY vehicle, though. Also, their feature set is way too broad, they’re trying to be everything to everyone. Manufacturing costs for all the options will kill them, if nothing else.

It's like the truck owners with two gas tanks asking how you don't run out with just one..
Fill up..pay attention to milage and fuel left in tank.
    Same with electric...
But yes all the guys who run out of gas from lack of attention..will have the same issues with electric vehicles

Anyone else notice that it seems to have the aerodynamics of a cinder block...or a barn??

35k GCWR? Sounds impressive but I'll have to see that to believe it.

I really feel like the whole electric car movement is still a few years off but everyone is in a rush to shove it down all our throats.

500 mile range, 15 minutes to charge, 35,000 towing and level 5 autonomous driving in 2020. Those are fantasy numbers not based on reality or physics. I'll pass.

Seriously. It takes me an hour to charge my damn phone. I know those charging stations are different but still there’s no way.

I live in northern CA and have driven down i5 a couple times recently, the sheer amount of model 3's I see rolling out for delivery on semi's is truly impressive. I know that's not evidence of anything but it is just something I've noticed.

Also, at 250K, which will be cheaper...replacing the timing chain on a Taco, or the entire battery pack in that beast?

Exactly. That battery would go up in flames if they tried to charge it that fast. If they somehow got the battery to take it then the life would be seriously limited.

Electric cars are a dead end. How do you charge it? With a coal fired power plant. FAIL. Until we come up with Fusion Nuclear Power, electric vehicles are a band aid on a severed neck.
