Water tight

I wouldn't trust that to be water tight either. It is advertised as a dust / clean air intake. They didn't advertise a higher fording depth.

 

Theres a flex seal for that

I remember in 1999 when Hurricane Floyd struck SE Pennsylvania, my buddy went for a boat ride in his Mazda 626... without the boat. The next week, he leased a 2000 4runner. The guy at the dealership told him the vehicle was watertight up to the door handles. I called BS. My buddy had no interest in testing it out. Eighteen years later, I'm asking you guyz. Thanks, again.

Maybe they meant "water resistant" up to the door handles, that would explain a lot.

No better way to sell a new vehicle after flood damage than saying the new vehicle is completely waterproof. This is why people call salesmen snakes

 

Mine isn't even waterproof up to where the tires meet the road.
