Survey completed (a few days ago). You guys must have hit 50 pretty quick, because I had mine in within an hour of your post... that's TW for you.

CONGRATS, Greg!!! That's great news, man. Frugal is the name of the game if you want to get out of the game early. Living below our means has helped our family weather some tough times in recent years. Hope to see more of you in the coming years.

I'm cheap, Ron, I cut my own hair. BTW, we have a (new-ish) guy at PNM that used to work with you... I think his name is Drew, IIRC.

I had to laugh at your edit... I thought about replying that I had a frying pan big enough for all of them.

They would be little snacks! Probably not the best tasting since they like to eat fish flakes and roaches

They went to my work - perks of working at a fisheries office

So I’m selling the taco to someone out of state. They want to get the timing belt done here though. Can anyone recommend a shop that’ll do it besides the dealership?

2nd gen has chain. 1st gen has belt.

Last offroading trip, I think Nick mentioned an independent shop but can't recall the name.

I've used Toyomasters in the past and would recommend them.

TOYOMASTERS! Ask for Chris, he's the owner. Harlan is one of the veteran techs who usually does TB's, he'll take care of you.

    Yup!!

Anyone here have a 3rd generation Tacoma that they are happy with?
Have been seeing more of them on used car lots than first and second generation.

Do NOT buy a 3rd Gen. Some people have no problems. A lot of people have real serious problems.
The Toyota dealers suck. Do not buy from them.

That is why I asked the question. I have one neighbor who traded at a loss less than a year into his. Another is trapped because he is upside down with his.
Needed another truck and decided to with the 2nd generation. Glad I did.

No Problem. I used them when I was redoing the fender arch on my reg cab. These got out 1200grit sanding marks and make the paint look like glass.
