Im thinking buscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, and bacon. Or, maybe just bbq chicken. Not into Christmas stuff.
But blood sausage made with the blood of my enemies would work too.

Used to be kinda partial to HP myself but haven't bought any since they got bought up by some Co. outta India. Noticed they removed the by appointment to the Queen endorsement as well. Bet they also changed the formula too.

This was last year's Christmas dinner. Tri-Tip. (Wochestershire, chive, shallot and butter sauce) And the wife's Yorkshires. Made with the beef drippings. And all the sides and stuff.

A1 is great on taters, also as the sauce for cooked onions, bacon, and onions with some butter melted into it. Cooked in bacon grease of course. And added as a topping to steak...

Grew up with both turkey and ham on Christmas so that is my image of a Christmas dinner. Ex was a crappy cook, among other things, and ~30 years ago we ended up going to a Chinese buffet when I was on recruiting duty in Asheville, NC for Christmas. Kind of turned into a tradition for both of my sons. When we first moved here found a decent Chinese buffet for Christmas they had all you could eat crab. Well at first then they started playing John Pinette on us

Then went to only one plate a visit allowed. Then they pulled it altogether.

What's her name left about 10 years ago and been doing a smoked turkey on the rotisserie and grill and usually smoke a ham too. But my sons aren't really into it so end up freezing most of it.

Most prime rib is only choice grade, a true prime grade prime rib is crazy expensive. And I only eat prime grade steaks for the most part. The spinalis dorsi is the best part of the rib anyhow

So why waste time and money on the longissimus. I eat a lot of capsteaks which are usually 3 spinalis dorsi tied together. I cut the string and wrap them in bacon and throw the string away, don't be silly.

    capsteak roast.jpg

And sear the hell out of it. Then Montreal steak seasoning after the sear and let come up to temperature.

    capsteak roast plated.jpg

That will likely be my Christmas dinner this year.

Maybe some mashed taters, or tater tots. With A1 sauce :p

Just not a huge fan of A1 and it only belongs on bad steak for me. Whenever my in-laws make steak for us my wife laughs when I ask for A1.

Maybe it is due to my Danish half (mom is a Dane), but, to me, it is pork and duck that makes a Christmas meal. That said, I still voted beef, because I've kind of hijacked our Christmas dinner for the past few years with prime rib. Last year we added a big-ass tomahawk to the mix, too. We'll still have one night where we eat flaeskesteg (pork loin with crackling) and roast duck, but hard to argue with this:

My brother-in-law and I are angling to possibly go in on a wagyu prime rib roast this year. If we chicken out, we'll get prime, but I'm hoping we can scrape some nickles together. :D

Your cap steak cook needs to be a wikipedia entry for the cut.

Can't pick two? What if you're cooking a ham and a turkey? (I guess technically I'm cooking the Ham on Christmas eve and the Turkey on Christmas day, but they'll both on the menu on Christmas)

Last year I did a nice venison shoulder roast and it turned out awesome, but there were requests for something more 'traditional' this year
