Welcome to my Avalanche Tacoma Thread!
Feel free to ask any questions, I want to answer them!

Original spec: 2010 dcsb with the trd sport package (jbl sound stuff and a good scoop) with black sand pearl paint.

As the big guy sits today:

    P1010142.jpg P1010126.jpg
List of what I can remember done to the truck:

    Front:
    - Solo Motorsports +3.5' Long travel kit
    - King shocks and Bumpstops
    - @TOTAL CHAOS Spindle gussets
    - Fiberwerx +4" fender flares
    - Spyder auto headlights
    - Grillcraft grille insert (although it has changed back to original for paint)
    - Bumper fabbed by @goodlucan on instagram
    - Truck remains fully functional with 4wd

    Rear:
    - Advanced Fiberglass Concepts +4" Bedsides
    - Still Just Bilstien 5100s
    - Heavier leaf pack
    - Don't make fun of me, I still have big plans :spy:

    Extras:
    - Method NV matte black
    - Bfgoodrich KO2's
    - Affordable seat covers (Awesome BTW) https://amzn.to/2J2h30X
    - Gogettagrip shift knob
    - Mexican blanket in the back
    - Probably missing a whole bunch of shiz

    Some short history:

Day I got my first set of fallen all terrains (1 year after buying the truck)
    72CE03B4-E0D9-45E5-B394-32CE1F2434EE.jpg

Slapped on some spider lights and aftermarket grill, plus got method nvs and a bumper.
    CA3E151F-EBDC-41DA-8D0B-2802736A12FD.jpg

Decided I wasn’t interested in overlanding and switched my bumper for a fabricated one (got Bilstien 884s)

The Boi right before the big flop. (More info Below)

December 18th, A lot has happened since then lol, tipped the truck over rock crawling, not too bad though, very minimal damage other than the front drivers door, the fenders, and the 2 top bags went off. Thankfully the cab, frame, and even all the windows and windshield are fine!

Got to work over the next month to make myself feel better about the incident.
    - Slapped on some fiberwerx Flares.
    - Replaced and wired my f'd up door.
    - Got a new tire on the driver cause the other one popped (Shoutout to tucker tire in Mission Viejo!)
    -Played some sweet victory songs

I had already put an order in for a solo +3.5 kit before the incident so I already had to go full swing with long travel.
    - Picked up some KO2's
    - Got an alignment with install
    - Drove to L.A. to get a deal on some spec kings
    - Took some pics
    - Renewed my second hand axles I bought off a friend
    - Finally got my kit
    - It's go time...P1010089.jpg P1010044.jpg P1010074.jpg

Traveled to Covina to get my kit installed by @Anthony250 he did an awesome job on the spindle gussets and overall made the experience super memorable. My truck felt badass again!

The day after the long travel install, I headed over to @goodlucan on instagram so he could fab me up a killer bumper. I also recently had him assist me on a bedside install (More pics coming later).

Over the next couple of months i had some issues with my kit and I couldn't get much use out of it as I was waiting on getting a faulty part replaced by solo... more waiting. Hey but you get to speed the time of six months into a little scroll hah. Here's some cool pictures for the long wait. Yes, I know the truck was self conscious about showing his damaged side.

I ordered bumpstops so solo could install them while they repaired the faulty part, so then I headed over, got that shiz done, and headed home with a finished front end! Oh yea and I checked out some 4.5s on the TT spec they had in the shop

I ordered my rear bedsides and had help from @goodlucan on insta again for the install. Shoutout to Adv fiberglass for one hell of a fitment! Only had to do a tiny modification to the bottom!

Some updated Pictures with everything finished except for the paint. It took a long time and a lot of elbow grease to get here.

    -Present Day-
I've finally saved up enough money to completely repair and repaint my truck in full. I'm gonna be going with the color Avalanche Grey which can be seen on the 2017 Ford raptors, Hence the updated "Avalanche" Title. This is a massive stepping stone and definitely the last step to a complete badass truck once again. In conclusion to the madness around the roll and that situation, I am extremely glad the incident happened to me cause it really made me such a hard worker, way more than I was before. I did not use any insurance cause I wanted to see if I could fix my situation myself... It was my fault. I learned to trust in god no matter what (You should try it cause it actually works) and this year has been the best year of my life so far HANDS DOWN. I got off my ass and started surfing every day for two months straight after trying to surf for 4 years with no success. Those two months saw me hop on my uncles shortboard and now I'm having the time of my life, soon attempting to scale down to a board under 6 feet. I got into guitar once more after wanting to play again, I got an amazing job as a Laguna Beach Lifeguard, and I'm in the best shape I've ever been in my entire life. I've gotten really in-tune with the way I eat, and my gorgeous girlfriend has inspired me to work harder and harder every day cause she does too. Seriously the crash was the best thing that ever happened to me, I was humbled beyond belief, who knows how reckless I would have been in the future. I could have actually endangered lives like I was doing that night (All 5 people were unharmed). I believed I was indestructible... never again, it can happen to anybody. Here are the final pictures of the truck before this segment of my life is put behind me. Never forget

Saw your post on the SoCal spotted thread about getting the truck painted. Looking forward to seeing the final result. You've done a great job not only at restoring your truck, but also in turning a challenging situation into a positive thing in your life. I wish you the best and will continue following your bad ass build!
