Well hitting 10 with the 2.5 is not as realistic as you think. You'll be in the mid to high 9's most of the time. The 2.5 pulley is a 10 psi pulley with a hard peak of 11, but you do have to factor in not only very mild belt slippage, but also that boost is not a totally consistent thing even if there is no slippage.

Knocking, as far as that goes, is abnormal. What tune do you run and what sort of intake are you running as well?

Are you using the 91 Octane version of OVTune or the 93 Octane OVTune? It's possible the 91 octane tune could cause knock on a 2.5 pulley since it was designed for a 2.8 pulley I believe. I would double check which tune you loaded from the handheld.

Or vice versa- running 91 fuel on the 93 octane tune file

I'm at 7 all day, sometimes 8 if I'm pulling hard in 4th and its cold, just on a 2.85 pulley. AFR never drops below 10. Pretty sure I've got some exhaust leaks.

On another note, some D bag in what looked like a Honda Pickup (I'm thinking New Ridgeline?) tailgated the shit out of me this morning, pulled up next to me at the stop sign with his hand out like "WTF" because I gave him a thumbs-up for being a Dbag, then I gapped his ass.....in my wifes 4 cylinder CRV. Suck-it. I hate tailgaters.

    My shit is all stock.
    Affirmative.

TRD tune currently with what I believe to be the first gen TRD CAI. This one:

I had the OV handheld. Was running the 91 octane map. I wanted to trade up to the IOtech setup in order to make my own edits. So, Mat had me flash my truck back the original file (TRD tune) and send the handheld back to him. That's where I'm at now. Waiting for that.

Did you do a hard PCM reset prior to running the 2.5 pulley? I found the computer doesn't like big step downs in pulley sizes without performing a hard reset on memory prior to running it. It could be as simple as that honestly, because your intake is a solid setup, and that pulley size is tested good on the TRD tune with FPR, however, not all tunes are created equal... so there may be a software AFR variance in yours in comparison to say my setup when I was running my 2.5. Mine still has MAF issues after reverting back tot he URD intake and modifying it with a 45* bend instead of a 90, but I'm pretty sure I know what I need to do to correct it.

That's the 2nd generation CAI made by K&N IIRC.

This was the first iteration made be AFE or AEM I don't remember. I don't think it was CARB legal so they scrapped it or something. This one showed actual gains at the dyno whereas the new one does not

Good to know. I went back to TRD tune also. Tested the V2 tune but didnt notice anything different from V1 except MAF numbers decreasing with V2.
I'd rather switch to the iotech full tune software myself and get a custom tune anyway. I'll see if I can trade up on handheld.

    This morning on fb.

Also I ordered one of his logging kits. Supposed to be when I get more performance mods so he can dial in the tune again.

Just let us know. If you have a Gen 2 TRD intake that will most likely your problem right there if the reset doesn't clear it up.

I really should just sell my self tuner kit with the laptop I got for it all because I don't plan on ever even using it at this point.
