    I've read more than once that K&N filters are often rebadged WIX units. In this case, add $5 for the fancy paint job.

    Are you talking about his v3 cable and logging software? I emailed him about it he said the cable is $168 or so. Not sure if it's any different from the tactrix cable.

    Yeah I mean it looks exactly like the URD one, only black. Not that that matters. *looks around nervously* If I find any issues I'll research more.

    @Torspd Wanna link your fuel filter setup? I remember you did a while back and it looked pretty in depth, something that looked like an oil filter setup but for fuel.

    Nah, it'll just reach max flow and cut power. it does that every so often when tank is empty/low, I'll just lose power during a pull but AFR never spikes. Engine reads a fuel flow loss and cuts power to prevent a super lean out. Now, if I was running some crazy amount of boost and some frankenstein mods, I might be worried.

    I have a similar situation when I am low on fuel also. My rule of thumb when driving with under 1/4 tank of fuel is to lay off the pedal until it's time to fill up. Anything above that, it's all good.

    Yes? Was looking up how to convert the existing fuel lines to NPT but got bored and stopped lol. Pretty sure I'll just have to cut off the stock fuel fitting on the outlet side (I think?) and just double clamp it with some fuel hose to a NPT fitting.

    AFE. And that is the older AFE design. I picked up their newer one on Black Friday. And finally ordered boost and AFR gauges.

    Yeah, that was the first generation of CAI's that TRD released, then they upgraded a few years later. AFE had the exact same one out as well for a hair cheaper IIRC.

    Dont forget the AFE had the little port on the face near the bottom... It supposedly allowed the air to swirl around the cone filter and legend says its another cpl hp.
    AFE far surpassed the design compared to the attempt K&N made later when they made the flawed "TRD" model.

    I don’t. I’ve been holding off due to the lack of gauges. According to AFE the older design outflows the factory intake by 19%, the new one is by ‘up to’ 126%. The newer design also has a redesigned intake track after the filter box. The old design had an open port at the bottom to the engine bay, which I was not fond of, the new one has a pluggable port to attach an optional ram air style scoop by the radiator. I opted for no additional scoop.

    Yeah I always ran without the plug in. Never really noticed a difference with it in or not. I figured more airflow couldn't hurt. Then I switched to URD CAI because the AFE intake was in the way of an engine crossbrace. But then it never happened. :(

    I just noticed you said NPT. Those fittings are -AN. But there are -AN to NPT adapters you could use if you truly need NPT.
