I have a chance to buy a set of my favorite Tacoma factory wheels. Never been a fan of the ones that came on my truck.

Mine are 16x7, and I'm guessing the others would be 17x7.5.

Would I have any issues? If not what would be the best size tires for my stock SR5 4x4 suspension.

    What I have now.

Ones I like... wish they made them in 16"

Those are stock sport wheels. You’ll be fine with them. 265 70 17 will be fine unless you have mud flaps and can’t handle a little rub on them. Sr5 are an inch lower than sports and off roads from what I read on here. Could also get 245 70 17 or 265 65 17 if you want to stay closer to stock sized tires.

How much are they asking for those. There is a set with tires for only $450 local to me right now and they only have 1000 miles. Down to $400 now.

He's asking $450 for just the wheels. Not even close to as good a deal local to you.

You can do better. I see those come up regularly for ~$600 with tires. Some better. 4Runner rims fit as well, if you're interested in those.

Tire size, any issues with the stock size? If not, I'd just stick with those (265/65/17). No use in getting bigger tires that drives down MPG and messes with gearing.

Palm Coast, FL. On the coast right between Daytona and St. Augustine.

Pretty much the other side of the world from you.

I just liked that style of factory wheel. Probably plenty of aftermarket 16" wheels I'd like a lot better as long as my tire sensor things work with them.

    Thanks for the help everyone!

SR5 is the same height as other trim levels excluding the pro. You should be fine with factory spec 265/65/17.

Dude just called me and said he would take $300.

My current wheels are +25 offset, the sport wheels are +30, I doubt that would make much difference.

Now I'd need new tires. Would love 265/70/17, but all of the multitudes of tire threads I've read...half work perfect on a non lifted truck and the other half rub.

Probably be safe with 265/65/17...just an inch wider than what I have now.

Read mass posts where 256/70/17 works perfect, read mass posts where they rubbed the inner fender towards the front, not worried about taking off the mud flap things, don't wanna be cutting stuff thou.

I’m not 100% sure but the 265 70 is just 1 inch overall taller than the 265 65.. and same width... so my thinking is it shouldn’t rub.. 65s go up and down with suspension travel without rubbing ucas, so same width won’t.. and I would say there’s more than enough space to fit 1/2 Inch of extra tire on each side of the fender.. but again I don’t have the experience but I will try to get 75s when I get to that point..

Just get the 265 70 17. You’ll have buyers remorse and wonder what if, if you don’t get them.

Would in a heart beat if I know they won't rub shit on a stock 4x4 SR5.

I have a 2018 SR5. I have 265/70-17 Falken Wildpeak A/T3W on 17 inch 4Runner Pro wheels and no rubbing. The tires are great in every weather condition.
