Kind of off topic but did you guys have to readjust the headlights after your lifts? It seems it would enter the direct field of vision for opposing drivers afterward. Thanks.

Yeah I definitely need to adjust mine. But I kind of like blinding the Prius drivers.

Just 2 screws in the back of the headlights to adjust. 1 for horizontal, 1 for vertical.

Did they rub with 33's before the lift?

Around the city no. Wheels played a huge factor.

I can’t remeber when I was 5/4 setting but it wasn’t much. With 6/5 setting and 650 coils I lost 1/8” or so with an sso slimline bumper and sliders.

Side pic of the truck? Did you keep or remove the overload leaf?

HDMOTT - curious how tall yours ended up on the 4th perch as a second gen.

Are you Access or double cab?

Anyone have real experiences to compare the 6112/5160 setup to the 3rd gen Pro Fox suspension setup. Similar cost (if buying the Pro Fox used from a member) but really torn. Not looking for much of a lift so that's not a deciding factor for me. I'm most interested in smoother on-road (soak up bumps better), less body roll / pogo stick bouncing - so my wife doesn't curse me every time I have to make a sharp turn or u-turn it doesn't cause havoc in the cabin, and my wife and daughter like to head out on trails w/ me but right now the stock OR suspension is started to show signs of wear around 40k and ruts and uneven trails/fireroads bounce the truck all over the place.

Don't need any crazy travel and intend to keep the geometry of the truck mostly stock (the ~"1 of lift on the Fox is the most I'd go...)

I do like having the "option" to lift easily later if I wanted to do larger tires and turn the truck into more of a toy than a DD later on in its life, plus it seems the billys may have a longer life whereas the Fox are rebuildable and buying them used that could be necessary sooner than later depending on the kind of use they saw previously.

Live in salted roads make sure you treat them 5160s they tend to rust.

Which ever you can get the best deal on buy that. Think someone in this thread had both or I read in another thread. They could hardly feel the difference from the 6112/2nd gen Pro 6112 vs the trd Pro fox suspension. Just know that each is a 60mm piston and both are tuned to Toyota’s liking.

Toucan, how much of a lift did you end up with up front on 3rd after everything settled?

I think I reported how much lift somewhere upstream, but I would probably have to measure again at this point. I'll see if I can find it. No overload by the way.

I have 6112s on a 2nd gen 4x4 DCSB V6, so maybe slightly less lift than you would get. With both circlips at the 2nd setting, I was sitting at 21-1/4"(d) and 22"(p). I bumped the drivers side up to the 3rd clip to compensate for the taco lean, and now I'm measuring 21-3/4"(d) and 21-7/8"(p). These measurements were taken in the same spot with similar fuel level, but the ground was not perfectly level. I'm guessing the 1/8" drop in the passenger side was measuring error or squishing of the spring isolator.

Everyone should but based on my driving experiences, lifted trucks rarely do. I hate those ignorant assholes that drive around blinding everyone.
