That is not the correct bracket for a moab 2.0 that bracket can work with the moab but you may not have all the adjustment you need. Give us a call and I will get you the right ones.

Anyone else with 2nd gen sliders experience the front corners clunking against the rocker panel on bumpy roads when ice builds up? See photo below.

    6482491B-7D16-4FC1-967D-DFC0EE47EC6C.jpg

I presume this is due to the fact that the shop that installed mine put in every bolt except the far forward one that goes into the boxed in section, so there is just enough play there.

Could be partly that, but it could also be that the ice builds up in there and then when you are on rough terrain it is the body mounts allowing movement of the body to separate from the built up ice and then come back in contact with it again. I know that is what mine is. My body mounts allow for a decent amount of movement.

This is true, as is evidenced by my CBI Moab 2.0 rubbing on my Bushwhacker fender flares. My shop is checking into poly bushings for the front end of my truck to help. My sliders are actually from WhiteKnuckle and taper at that point, so I can't comment. But the ice part makes sense!

This is one sexy looking Taco. Damn if I owned that I would smile every time I walked up to it. I don't know what it is but the color combo with all the items makes it just pop. Looking forward to putting what I want on mine.

Thanks man, I do smile every single time. I'll start my build thread on here soon, if you want to see more. I'm only halfway through the build too...so there'll be more to see! The Dark Grey Metallic paint with black accessories and small hits of red are my favorite combo. I was not sure about the wheel color, but it came out really well, especially with the OME BP51 shock finishes.

Yeah, your taco is like my tacos role model haha. Ill have to follow you or whatever the shit is called so I can see when you make it. I'm hoping to get mine up here in the next few months once I can get to my truck and get the first mod leap done. Those colors just flow really well. I have seen a ton of tacos on this forum and I rarely come across one that makes me smile. Hats off for a good looking capable rig.

Edit: Curious, how do you like the BP-51s. Its too late for me to back out but I ordered mine a bit back and should be installing soon. Also how do you like your tires. Hows the gas mileage?

He's got the 4.0L, so you're asking the wrong person for the MPG question. When you go 33s, expect anywhere from 12.5-20 depending on elevation, terrain, and driving habits. I got 15-18 in Hawaii depending on traffic. I get 12.5-16 in West Virginia because of the rolling mountains.

BP-51 is a nice kit. Guy I know in Hawaii got them installed before I left and they were really sweet looking. A little stiff, but they were brand new, too.

Yeah tracking the engine difference but was curious how many miles he lost between the change. Probably still different but I don’t come across many 3rd gens with beefier tires. Assuming it’s because it’s brand new.

Yeah my father actually has a pair and I noticed that when we were cruising around town. Only real complication with his opinion is he’s never really fully tested them. We took his truck on a small trail with a few technical sections but wasn’t really enough to judge. Again, hard to come across people with these items as it seems everyone goes skinny with their tires and equip their rigs with Kings, or icons. Haven’t read anything bad about them except for the recalls/breaking of parts or leaks. After those were noted though, the buyers were able to replace them free of charge of course and got the new parts back in 2 days at most. Excellent customer service always is a win in my books.

    Thanks man!

I really like the BP-51s so far, but I have yet to really start messing with the settings. It was stiff overall, but I have upgraded rear springs from a Hilux to help with extra weight. As the truck gets heavier, they get more compliant. I would certainly recommend them.

Gas mileage tanked! I'd say I lost about 30% of my mileage after all the mods from when I was stock. I'll be looking to carry even more extra fuel than originally planned to make up for it and possibly add a second fuel tank at some point.

Can anyone confirm what is different with CBI Sliders for 3rd gen sliders going on a 2nd gen? Some company’s are 05-present.

Also do CBI Access cab sliders also mate up with Double Csb short beds like other brands?

May have found a set on a 3rd gen Access cab to put on my 2nd gen DCSB

This thread needs some love and updating. Some great pics from Elk Hunting 2018 where I definitely used my CBI armor! Towing and protecting my truck. Gotta love when you slide into a tree and can say "Glad I had that on the truck" As you can see we were dealt a decent amount of rain and mud and then freezing temps and snow.

Just got mine back from powdercoat today. Planning on installing this weekend. Any advice on the install? Will I need any additional hardware (bolts, etc.)? My understanding is they bolt right up to factory holes.

Thanks in advance! Awesome looking rig, BTW!
