I hope you figured out what you needed. I just got back from a family vacation.

I didn’t do the Dakar option. I went with the HS 3 leaf AAL and left the overload in. I had them assemble the 5100 w/ 887 at the 0 setting. I got a little under 2” of lift in the front. I did not do UCAs. Have thought about doing the first notch but then I might need UCAs and don’t want to spend more money on it. Right now the alignment is good. I will also most likely take the overload leaf out before too long to get less of a rake.

This is my first build and am a first time buyer from headstrong. The staff was very knowledgable and helped guide me on selecting the right lift for my truck. I ordered a complete Old Man Emu suspension kit with 3-leaf add-a-leaf and it wasn’t enough support in the rear. I run a camper top, drawer system, fridge and when traveling, a lot more stuff. So I ordered the OME HD Dakar leaf packs with bushings, u-bolts and what I found out later, was supposed to be the CB drop kit. They forgot to send the drop kit with the leaf packs... I didn’t see that the CB drop kit was supposed to be included when I originally ordered the leafs and I just ordered it separately.

With the heavy-duty Dakar Leaf Pack I still didn’t have enough support for the weight I like to carry. The leaf packs are flat/straight across. So I emailed headstrong about getting an AAL or using the 3-leaf AAL that I originally ordered and that while looking up exactly what I originally ordered I saw that the CB drop was supposed to be included and was not.

So I got an email back from a guy named Matt and he said said that the CB drop kit was sent and that there was nothing they could do months later.

The part is only $15 and not a big deal. I just mentioned to them that it was left out of the packaging and I’m basically told I’m lying. I plan to send Matt the Amazon order receipt to show that I had to order the kit separately. I definitely don’t need two drop kits. I only have one Tacoma haha!

When you contacted us I pulled your order and confirmed on our end that the part was checked off in which it was. I checked with the individual who pulled and packaged the product and he always wraps the FK29 around the ubolts. On top of this we go out of our way to ensure the count for inventory is correct and this was spot on. I don't think you are lying I just replied that everything on our end indicates you got it and being that you placed an order almost 3 month before notifying us of something missing, per our policy, there's not much "I" could really do. The description for the package you bought outlines the items included (shoot even the Title does), you receive an invoice which again outlines the items included and we also state in an email after the order is placed that you should confirm everything is there before install. We say this because we know mistakes can happen and or packaging can get damaged and sometimes things do come up missing.

I responded to your email the best I could and based on our policy, I'm not sure what this has to do with customer service to be honest. Rather than post up on a forum weeks later after you email us and we respond right away, why not just respond back to us? As you stated its just a $15 part right.

As far as the OME leaf packs go, I am sorry you are unsatisfied with the support they offer, perhaps you can reach out to ARB if there is a concern with the product being defective.​
