2009 Backup Camera with display in Mirror?

I just learned and discovered that my 2009 Tacoma is already wired for a back up camera. I found the plug. I went to a local truck parts dealer and they wanted over $500 with labor to re-do the whole system. I am thinking that the answer here is to just buy a mirror that is compatible and plug and play more or less.

    Few quick questions:

    1. Since I have a base mode Tacoma (4cyl. 5 speed, bench seat.) Do I need to flash the ECU to have the camera tell the display it's in reverse and start working?

    2. Would it be easier to re-located and just buy a head unit that can display on the screen?

    3. Does anyone have a mirror they would be willing to sell that will fit my 09?

Thanks in advance for all the help on this.

Hello! I'm in the same EXACT boat as OP. Any solution found for this? Part number? Bought a mirror but it lacks that plug and play convenience that I was looking for.
