I just recently picked up a 07 SR5 4dr 4x4 with 104,xxx miles on it and the previous owner misplaced a few things including the antenna so I don't have a radio. Seeing that I don't plan on getting rid of my truck anytime soon I wanted to upgrade the radio with a Bluetooth setup and unplugged the stock JBL deck to see what harness and connections I would need. Long story short, after I plugged it back in, I turned her back on and my maintenance required light was flashing along with the green 4x4 indicator as if It was trying to engage.
the maintenance light shut off after a few seconds but the little green 4x4 indicator kept blinking. I put it in park and actually tried putting in 4H and nothing, tried 4L and nothing. Put the truck in reverse, rolled back a few feet and tried it again. Tried rolling forward and engaging it while rolling 5-10mph like I was reading in here earlier trying to figure this out. I searched around the forum and tried using the search tool as I'm a member of a few other forums and know to search for topics before posting. Also know that my 4x4 was working fine the night before as I was playing around in the dirt and had no issues. Is it possible that I unplugged something when I pulled the radio deck forward? I left the airbag plug plugged in and kept the truck on while doing all of this if any of that would matter.

If anyone has any suggestions or has experienced this, any info would greatly be appreciated.

Sorry if this post is in the wrong place.

Stupid question, I'm sure, but did you short something out? Did anything pop?

lol no I was saying that I was asking a dumb question. Do you have a test light? Check all the fuses. Although if the light is blinking, it's probably not a blown fuse. Start with the easy stuff first. Maybe take the negative side of the battery off and wait a bit, reconnect and see if it resets itself. Just a thought.

Also, maybe you pinched a wire, clean the connections and re plug it in.
