Anyone in the Omaha area have an ECGS needle bearing removal tool and the install tool for the ECGS bushing I could use or buy?

My third gen has been roaring since I lifted it and I thought it was a wheel bearing until I found out it's a common issue. Now I'm worried it's going to grenade and ruin my diff. I thought I would ask on here if anyone has the ECGS tools before I order some tools I'll use one time.

    Also I'm a new member/Tacoma owner!

Thank you, I miss it :(

Tuttle Creek is the closest (legal) place to offroad. Mostly rock crawling though. Here is my Jeep down there playing on the "ledges"

There are legal places closer. But you have to know the owners of the land none are public

New member here from Omaha. Want to pick some of your guys' head when it comes to a lift (on a budget).

driving: 2016 trd sport double cab 4x4
goal of lift: aggressive look to fit 285/70r17 tires with little off roading intentions

Deciding between a rough country spacer and block lift or spend the extra cash and get a bilstein 5100 lift. Keep in mind, I dont plan on going off road very much and am on a budget.

I'm currently selling the rough country spacers on fb marketplace for $30. They gave me 2" of lift and put me level with the rear. Anymore than 2" of lift in the front and I would recommend upper control arms that cost $450+, and I wouldn't really consider it to be on a budget anymore once you go that route. You'll most likely need to do the cab mount chop and reweld as well. With my 2" spacers and cab mount chopped I was able to fit 295/75/16 tires with zero rubbing.

For someone that doesnt off road that much, would you recommend the spacer lift over the 5100?

For the money and simplicity I'd recommend the spacers. They bolt to the top of the strut so you don't ever actually remove the coil spring from the strut, meaning you can install them yourself in an hour or so if that's what you're planning to do. Also the spacers do not change the ride quality. When I added preloads to my springs I had to take my struts to a shop to be compressed and the ride afterwards was a lot stiffer which I believe will be the same for the 5100s although I've never used the 5100s. The spacers will be fine for light off roading and you won't hurt the factory ride. You can lift up to 2.5" with the 5100s but I'd recommend ucas at that point.

Absolutely love it here! Schools are great.. People are very friendly. Everything is about a 15 minute drive.
Are you looking to move here permanently?

How long you been in Kaiserslautern? I spent about six months back in late'97 early'98 in the Landstuhl, Heidelberg, Darmstadt, Wiesbaden areas, great times! but had to leave my almost-new truck parked in the garage at home.

You ever get yours out on the A5/E35 just south of Frankfurt where the multi-lanes open up to literally haul ass!?! How about that 16km tunnel under the Swiss Alps?

I’ve been out here almost six years. I know where you are talking about but I really haven’t opened my truck up to higher speeds, too nervous!
