Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
...^^^... Worked with Oshkosh too ... on some outside contracts ... mainly fire fighting equipment (CFR's) and speciality military vehicles.

Oshkosh is the best at what they do in my book.

Pierce Manufacturing was next door in Appleton, WI and they are a super quality company too.

Oshkosh and Pierce did a few silent projects together.

Both of those companies made some cool special custom steel wheels too ... working with Budd.

I like the FJ steelie look. These are mine.
Not sure if this is the look you are going for. 20180225_124044.jpg

I don't think that steel wheels aren't ductile. My point is that they are. Those thin lipped military look alikes have a lip nearly similar to a steelie. Smack that wheel and I show you what a boat anchor looks like! lol

But why would the Toyota steel wheels not work? When I had the Taco truck still the steel wheels did just fine on the rocks. As for the other wheel mentioned in the post I have no idea.

My friend designed these - just spoke with him. When he first saw how much rock rash was on them, he said, "Finally, someone that uses my wheels as we intended." I have a set of real beadlocks too, I just like these and they may not be the strongest but that ring has saved me more times than you know.

Wow - you might be a computer user but I'm not sure you have a firm grip on the English language. I never said that steel wheels would not work. The OP was thinking about the Rhino cast wheels.

Why did you quote both wheels in your post?

Where's everyone finding these spares? Toyota or the junk yard?

Got mine on eBay buying one at a time. 1st gen Tundras actually ran them as full time wheels (+ugly hubcap) so sometimes sellers have a full set.

Zonepowertrack makes some decent military grade wheels for the Tacoma. Definitely check them out.
