Stock Tacoma’s are perfectly capable, don’t short change yourself. From my experience it was mainly user error whenever I messed up badly..lol

I'll be cross posting this and emailing a few vendors as I'm usually better retarded when it comes to just pulling the trigger....
    Icon uca
    Maxtrac spindles
    Bilstein 6112 fronts
    Bilstein 5160 rears...
What leaf pack or add-a-leaf should I look at? Just looking to level it after the spindles go on, would appreciate a better ride but....its no LT truck so I'm not expecting anything better than stock

I'm in the same boat. I'm planning on going with the OME leaf pack instead of AAL. Have you looked into headstrong offroad kits? I'm still holding off due to insufficient funds lol

@Headstrong is good. Local/mom&pop, the best kind. Got my OME kit (BP51, dakar leafs) through them. Would recommend talking to Marie and see what's up.

Buy the ticket, take the ride. Don't go cheap because that's all you can do when it's not what you want or need. Do it right the first time, even if it takes you longer. And. something about once you taste mediocrity, you'll never want anything else.

Do you consider bilstein a "cheaper" alternative compared to Fox, Icon, or Kings? I mean any upgrade is better than stock, right? My wallet can only go bilstein.

what's your typical use? be honest with yourself. I went ome bp51 because it's a complete, tuned suspension out of the box specifically for our trucks. There are others designed this way, and looked at where my usage was, on the road, going to work. Playtime is not rock crawling or high speed desert runs. it's trailhead access or as a photography mule but mostly dog taxi. So I couldn't see a fox or king suspension being optimal. the truck needed something more road oriented. It's SoCal, and we can honestly say its like driving offroad, the roads suck so the OMEs were an easy pick. If you can afford Billies...wait a wee bit longer and go home really happy with OMEs or an Icon setup... hell maybe score a deal on some Kings or Fox because you can wait like a patient hunter. and then we will be jelly of your rig. :)

or...lurk on the for sale forums for some nice gear, send them in for a rebuild and boom! Bob's your uncle, crazy suspension on the cheap. i alllllmost pulled the trigger on some Kings, but wasn't ready to go long travel for the suspension to actually be viable beyond a few pathetic inches of travel in stock everything else. There's a set of archive hangers that need to go on (I need help, my back is keeping me from getting under the truck) that will round out the suspension. Possibly looking at an AAL, with a high clearance bumper waning to go on too. It's a constantly changing landscape

    check it:https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...gs-icon-2-0-extended-rear-spc-uca-etc.580730/

*whew* ok. I dunno if that helped or just made it worse.

Winter is here, Tamales are a staple for surviving the winter. imma tamale squirrel, hide em in the back of the freezer for later in the year when no one is gonna make tamales unless it's a restaurant (blech)

    images_d0db7291e752b1354d1c6465cb8b0b30d934645a.jpg

*as a family,, we used to make what seemed like a million (several hundred in reality) tamales every year. After my great grandparents passed, that tradition died with them. Tacoma Tamale run somewhere? I think that'd be fun.

Yep! Have new rtic cooler that needs to be filled with goodness. So far just transporting beer. I'll bring beer, someone bring tamales, we'll meet in the middle and go home fatter and happier!

I'm sorry to hear about the grandma and the tradition.
