Got a baby trend rear facing car seat it fits with the seat all the way up. The wife sits in the back with the baby thankfully she is small and don’t mind. A front facing will give a little more room for her to sit up front.

I know for a fact (others like it or not) that my kid is in the safest spot in my truck, in the middle of it... side crash won’t get to him... that child seat WONT go anywhere... it is safely secured to the anchors, and is being supported by the front seats so it wont fly off in case I rear end someone...

I would say it is an Uncomon setup... some firefighter got really heated with my post but I know it is legal because a friend of mine that is highway patrol checked it (Florida) so I’m good.. I just wanted to offer some relief to others that are in the same spot like me...

I have this setup to bring my kid back from daycare, 3 blocks from home, small blocks.. probably 5 minute walk.. so to whom think I’m irresponsible, it is safer to bring my kid home than walking or riding a bike...

I’ve heard of people putting the car seat in the middle successfully, and having to use some kind of special bracket. Does anybody have pictures of this setup.

This is a horrible article written by a bot. "If you have a regular cab... you're going to have trouble leaving space for the driver and front passenger." No sh*t, there's no backseat at all! I wouldn't trust anything from that article.
