They are SO much more money than any of the competitors, maybe not KO2 but, when you have a Sumitomo built tire backed with ALL of les Schwab's stuff on them, that costs $235 bucks plus that is just dumb. I tried the AT2 for about 600 miles and yanked them and went back to Duratracs. Also, Schwab can special order you almost any tire you want, you just have to ask.

I agree the price is too high. Wanted to buy Duratracs, but the local distributor, half hour drive away, wanted 275 each. So, back to Les Schwab I went. Dumb, maybe, my choice that I live with. The performance of the tire has satisfied me so far. I am okay being an over educated "dumb" Eastern Washingtonian.

I don't think the price is too out of line. Les Schwab typically charges a premium price (more than competitors for the same tire). In return they offer better service and free lifetime rotation, balance and flat repair at any location and without an appointment. To me that's worth the higher price. Last week they quoted me a price of $1150 out the door for four 265/70/16 (stock size) Open Ranges. The Toyo AT2's were on sale for about $900, but usually run about $1000 out the door. If the Open Range is truly a premium tire as they say it is, the price seems reasonable.

I ended up buying Toyo GSi-5 snow tires last week instead of new AT's. I'll be due for some new AT's next year. I'll be reading long term reviews for the Open Range.

    None yet.
I replaced my at2's on my 99 4 runner with a set of these and so far they are great. 285/75/16 10 ply
Very quiet, handle great and have a little over 2k miles on them. About 1/3-1/2 of those miles are gravel.

Purchased a second set, 285/70/17s with less than 800 miles on them. Currently mounted on my duramax.. extremely quite and ride very well. They will be getting swapped to my new to me gen 2 tacoma and Dmax is getting put up for sale

Got mine in November 2018. Good on snow (plowed roads and 6-8" of fresh). Quiet at highway speed (70+ mph) .

Have had mine for over a year 10,000 plus miles. Quiet on road, good grip off road. Very good grip in snow. Have handled the sharp rocks where I hunt just fine. Definitely pricey, but would buy again.

Holy Smokes! I can't believe you guys are spending that kind of loot on tires. I just picked up a set of Falken WP AT3W's for $110 each (265/70-16 SL).

Main reason for spending the money was dealership support. I leave in a very rural area of central Washington, where purchase option are few.

I too live in a rural area where local options are few and I do understand how valuable dealer support can be but if I'm understanding the previously mentioned costs, there's no way I'd pay $900-$1100 for a set of tires. What can a dealer do to reconcile paying near twice the price of tires....?

Welcome to your opinion. Don't think I could find a quality tire from a dealer out here for under $200 a tire. Les Schwab has a no hassle guarantee, have used it a few times over the years.

Les Schwab is usually more but they have locations seemingly everywhere in OR WA ID in places you cannot imagine. Plus their service is great and the warranty is too. Never had a hassle on any of the warranty claims I have had. Have been buying from them since 1988.

Really appreciate all the feedback out there on these tires. I'm about to buy my first set of new tires ($1,100 ouch) and I've been back and forth on these. But as has been said, Les Schwab's service is impeccable. So I'm happy to hear that these will perform well enough to make the price worth it.
