5 lug 2wd coil spacers?

    I know there frowned apon here. I’ve ran them before no issues. Not building a trail truck here just wanna level the front up since I removed my previous 2” rear lowering blocks. Again not looking for a bunch of different options strictly looking for coils spring spacers perferably 2”. Thanks for the help guys

    That looks level to me... If anything the front is already a bit high.

    Spacers in the front will make it higher.

    Front is 3” from tire to fender back is 5”. It’s the angle of the pic. Here is a before I removed the blocks pic

    So wait, you had lowering blocks in the back, what is the front like? Is that lowered, too? Or is the front stock height?

    A lot of times, though, you can have a truck that is technically "level" (bubble level on the frame), but because of the shape of the fenders, or the bumpers, etc... it looks weird. I wouldn't go by measuring the fenders since they are shaped differently, go by what looks good to you.

    If you think it looks weird, then yeah, you can throw a spacer in there. As for which ones, though, you might try the 5-lug section. Most people who post here are 4x4 or pre-runner people.

    Front is all stock. I ordered a 1.5” spacer from fat bobs garage. Back was lowered 2” while the front was still stock but I’ve put it all back stock and now the front is lower than the back so I wanna raise the front a hair

    Do you happen to know if the spacers measure 1.5" or are the spacers made to give you a 1.5" lift? I've seen a few times where companies don't really specify and it leads to some confusion. A 1.5" spacer will give you more than 1.5" of lift because of where the shock is relative to the wheel. A spacer that gives you 1.5" of lift should measure more like 3/4" or something like that.

    At least spacers are pretty cheap, so if it ends up being too much, or too little, you can always order new ones if needed. Just don't stack the spacers if it's not enough.

    It's confusing, I know...

    If the spacers you ordered measure 1.5", yeah, they'll give you more than 1.5" of lift. Unllike the rear, where 2" spacers gave you 2" drop.

    That's because the front shock is sitting between the inner pivot of the control arm and the wheel on the outside, and the wheel has more "leverage", so the wheel moves more than the shock does.

    In my crude drawing here, the 0 is the pivot (the bushing), ^ is the shock, and [] the wheel. I apologize if this seems patronizing (not my intent).

    0---^------------[]

    Move the shock 1" up, and the wheel will move more than that based on the radius of the arm...

    In the rear, because you move the whole axle up or down (equally on both sides), the block measurement is the same as the total lift you get.

    So anyway, I think *most* manufacturers understand this, so if you order a 1.5" spacer lift for a specific truck, that should be the lift you get. But I don't think that's always the case, I'm just not sure if you just go and order 1.5" spacers by themselves if they are advertising the lift you're supposed to get (which is vehicle specific) or the measurement of the spacer.
