Anybody have ideas how I can make a glossy finish more "dull"?

I experimented with this copper paint but it turned out too bright for my tastes. A matte finish would be preferable. Does anyone have experience with matte topcoats?

Really not bad looking!. They sell Matte clear that would likely take it down a bit. That, or pick a different color...Those coppers and bronzes seem to vary a ton from different places.

Yes I agree. The 3" round colored cap can only accurately reflect the color so much

Is anyone running 285s on the 16x7 tundra steelies? I'm for sure getting front wheel spacers to clear the UCA

Not the same. The Amazon ones are not OEM Toyota, typically seem thinner gauge, and cannot accept OEM center caps.

I've been searching the local CL for a few months but have not come across any 17" FJ steelies. I wish they were more common.

Have you asked your local dealer? I can get them here for about $100 canadian a piece. Should be a fair bit less in the US.

So I've had my 17" FJ steelies on for ~6 months, and I want to get the center caps. They're a little pricey at around $23/each, can anyone confirm or deny that they will simply clip into my wheels? Thanks in advance.IMG_7889.jpg IMG_7890.jpg

From what I gather they can be a total PITA to get on. Some seem to have to take the wheel off, then put the cap on, then try and install the wheel without the cap popping off. I dont know for sure though as I never had any caps personally. But it's probably why most dont even run them.
