I bought my truck at Ron Tonkin and figured since it’s close to work I’d get my services and warranty work done there. Monday I took it in for the 5k service, Trans reflash TSB and the rear end howl TSB. Day 1 was fine other than it taking 10 hours and only getting the 5k and Trans reflash. Day 2 they said they ordered parts for the howl TSB and about 1330 they called and said my vin wasn’t covered and since I have aftermarket wheels and tires it shouldn’t be covered. My question is there a good actually none are good but is there any Toyota dealerships that are more forgiving in the Portland area or Clackamas County. Thanks!

@TheToyotaGarage might be able to help with figuring out if your truck is covered. He's at Michael's Toyota in Bellevue. Probably not much help to you down there, but solid dealer that won't bullshit you

I bought my truck from Michael's, and I usually have "big" services done there. I'm about ready for the 60k service, with front/rear/t-case fluid change, plus full synthetic oil change. But damn if I didn't cringe at the $907 price tag (after tax) that I was quoted. And that's before I get the rear driver side passenger door lock fixed (doesn't unlock via the remote or switch, and only locks about 80% of the time with either option.)

I don't really have the time/patience to do all the 60k service myself, but I may just have to make the time and do it myself.....

I had my 60k a few months ago at the Lake City dealer and it was $700~, but I did everything that wasn't "serious" ie plugs, filters, etc

    same shit as everyone else
My #1 Toyota dealership in the area is Vancouver Toyota. My #2 would be willsonville. #3 would be Beaverton. The absolute worst is by far Capitol Toyota in Salem. Worst dealership I’ve ever experienced.

Thanks guys, I Appreciate the responses... I’ll definitely try Beaverton or Wilsonville next go and see if I get better service. I just got the well it has a lift and aftermarket wheels and tires not much will be covered under warranty BS which I know is crap.

I decided to try Gladstone Toyota for my 10k and a couple other minor things and they were fantastic... even replaced my wiper inserts under warranty. I’d highly recommend!
