2008 Tacoma PreRunner with billy's set at the top perch that gives about a 2.5" lift upfront is paired with 17" FN Pro wheels with a 0 offset.

Does anyone know if 255/80/17 Cooper STT Maxxs will fit without doing the cmc?

Should be ok. I fit them with stock TRD sport rims and 1” wheel spacers (similar amount of backspace as you). Similar amount of lift. Never came close to the cab mount

If you use your truck offload it'll probably rub. 3rd gen truck with JBA high caster control arms, method NV 0 offset, 255/85r16 km2s. OME888 bilstein 5100s I can make it rub at just the right spot off road, not enough to really care but in the future I will be chopping

I am locked and hit the trails 2-3 times a month.. so if I stuff them then they will probably rub?

    What about 255/75/17?

I NEED MORE TRUE LIFT haha

Can you measure your roof height with these? Curious if my truck can still fit in the garage with the taller tires.

So you have no loft or anything? And you have no rubbing at all?

Have been running 255/85/16 Cooper ST Max. I have TRD Pro suspension that raised front 2.5” back 1.5”. In order to level it out I put Icon AAL for another inch.

Results: No body rub at all. However a very slight touch on upper control arms in full throw in reverse. There is a definite wander at 70+mph. Not crazy, but noticeable. Finally, it’s much quiter than I expected.

The tire throws off the mileage and the speedo slightly. I was running 19mpg consistently prior to running these tires. Now uncorrected in any way I’m reading closer to 15mpg.

The much heavier Coopers have dropped me down to 13 mpg. They are an almost 65 lb tire, but I wasn’t expecting a drop that drastic.

I fit 33s on stock suspension, with stock steel wheels. Cooper ST Max 255/85/16. I had seen stock OR/Sport/SR5/Pro wheels with 33s, but I had never seen these steel wheels so I took a gamble and it worked out (Couldn't find the offset on these particular wheels, so I didn't know if they would work but they did). Power loss is hardly noticeable, but braking takes more effort. My stock SR highway tires were humming, and these are actually quieter. No rubbing at full crank or full stuff, drove these puppies for 60 miles today. 2016 SR ACLB. I can't believe it fits, I'm losing it over here.

My truck is way back there in this thread, but anyhows it failed inspection recently because the eibach coil on the driver’s side which I installed years ago to fit 255/85r16’s broke! The frame was recently replaced at the dealership and may have had something to do with it but that is just speculation. Well I saved the stock springs and installed them this past weekend and the worn out 255’s aren’t rubbing anywhere! Yay me! I’ll take some pics later today.

I exactly have the same truck as you. I recently buy 4 new bilstein shock and rear leaf to raise the truck 2 inches back and front. I look for 255/80/16. Are you sure that is absolutely no rub even if there are bump on the road? Why do you remove your Light Bar

My truck is not lifted, and geometry changes when you lift. I'm on stock suspension with zero rubbing at full chunk or crank, but if you lift it you might have to do a cmc or wheel well configuring. I took my light bar off because I'm about to repaint my brackets

I've been trying to find solid evidence that 255/85r16 won't rub on stock 2016 trd off road suspension (yes I am aware of the thread of fitting tall/skinny on stock trd OR but no one has a super solid answer, it's back and fourth). I don't have a way of test fitting a set of Cooper ST Maxx in this size because apparently all of my local shops only carry them on the basis of special order. One shop even told me that the biggest size a Tacoma can fit is 245-75-16 otherwise you need extreme modification like fender and bumper cutting which I know is absolute horse shit.
Does anyone have a solid answer of yes a 255/85r16 Cooper ST Maxx will fit or even a no, I don't care. I just want to know if I should buy 'em or not because I'm not in a place to do cab mount chops.
    Thanks people
