I won't buy a modified truck for this exact reason. I tried talking to him but he is a young kid and I told him I would see if anyone had dealt with this place. I have found a few people that have and actually speak pretty highly of them.

The prices are high but they seem to back what they sell. So I will pass on what I found. I am one step closer to finding my truck, but it is still going to be a good long wait... In the end it will be worth it to get exactly what I want.

I live like five miles from this place. This guys prices are always extremely high. He used to mostly have f150s and silverados that would be 80K+ mile trucks that he would put the cheapest lift, wheels and tire package on, then price them like they were brand new. I noticed he has lately started having nicer trucks with lower mileage, but still well overpriced imo.

In truth I don't have experience with the dealer, they could very well be great folk. However, in no way does that truck make any kind of financial sense. It's the same price of a nicely equipped 2019 with 0 miles on the clock, and without the security of a full warranty or 24k miles worth of free service visits... but hey, at least it comes with a bitchin' set of 20''s, man!

Or your friend could just buy a gently used stock model off a Toyota certified lot and then spend two grand to have a shop trick it out for him, but that's just crazy talk:D

Good luck in the search .

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Sure does not look like a SR5 to me --wrong seat fabric -- dual auto heat/cooling -not ever available on a SR5, plus many other things that are wrong and not even available on a SR5.
Sounds like you got a modded Sport or a OR -plus a very dumb dealer who does not even know what the hell is selling.
    BE CAREFUL!

customer service is always important but it also isn't number one at least in my book. I'll happily never do business with someone that has terrible customer service. But I will also happily do service with someone that has fair prices and good customer service over high prices and awesome customer service.

There are plenty of places out there with much better prices and good customer service. It just takes legwork to find them. However, if they rather just throw money down and be done with it then why not, it's their money. Kind of like when someone pays a shop 500+ to install a lift kit on their truck that can be done for free in a day at home for free. I think that's silly and rather do it myself but others rather just spend and have it done.

It all depends on what a person wants. If dude wants that truck exactly the way it is and wants it now and doesn't want to shop around for a decent priced good condition truck, and then shop around for suspension, and then shop around for wheels, and doesn't mind overpaying? Then let them buy it.

I am the same way, I have always chosen to do my own installs but I am getting to the age now that I am more inclined to pay someone to do it. But I am not set on that at this point.

I agree with the pricing and service, good service goes a super long way though for sure.

I have said before though, buying a modified truck for me is out of the question. Buying a truck and paying to have it modified is a different story.

Aren't sr5s, and all the TRD models considered SR5s, but the TRD models have "TRD trim upgrades" on the SR5 base?

All of them are Tavomas... Then I believe there are trim levels applied... There are 6 TRIM LEVELS from what I understood.
    1. SR
    2. SR5
    3. TRD SPORT
    4. TRD OFF ROAD
    5. LIMITED
    6. TRD PRO
Then on top of that there are some "special editions" in certain regions like the SX edition or the Baja edition etc.

    I could be wrong :notsure:
