Thanks. I owned a couple Tacoma's. The Hilux and the turbo diesel engine is a really cool set up. I'm a bit partial to the Hilux now because of it. Too bad they dont offer the Turbo Diesel option for the Tacoma.

Do you have the 2.8L diesel? If I had the option of getting a diesel in my Taco, I'd jump at it. Especially since today's gas and diesel prices in the U.S. are somewhat similar.

Yes it has the 2.8L. The MPG is good and lots of TQ. I agree now in states the prices are close enough.

...^^^... Small world ... We have a house in Chiang Rai, Thailand ... and a Thai wife and daughter there too. I live part-time in Thailand and ATL, USA for maybe the next 2 years then they will move to ATL permanently. Talk to Thailand twice a day on the Line App. when I am in the USA.

We were just over in Chiang Mai (about 2 hours away) ... the US Consulate is there ... too far to go to the USA Embassy in BKK.

Looks like you have a front runner bed rack. Seeing that their mounting brackets dont have support from the bed sides (only the bed rails) how is the bed rail holding up with the tent weight, body weight, and off-road abuse? It appears okay here obviously, but is their any noticeable bending or sag of the rails? I almost bought one of those FR bed racks but the rail bracket system was the main reason I didn’t and at the time no one had a solid answer for me, not even front runner

I’m just going to qualify this with the fact that I’ve been drinking some damn good 21 year old scotch, if you post pics of a hot wife or GF, then extra bonus points.

It’s one of the better scotches that I’ve had. I wouldn’t mind trying that 25 though.
