I found I had issues until I did both with my Rago CB antenna mount. I scratched off the powder coat where the firestik fitting met the metal, since it needs to be mounted without a ground wire. Then I scraped around another bolt hole and ran a ground wire from there to the frame to get a better SWR reading. Powder coating really screws with grounding, and most of the bed being composite doesn't help either.

Rotated my tires, checked front and rear diff fluids, both ok and still pretty clean. I had to add about 1/2 a quart to my manual transmission. I don't see any leaks so I must not have let it sit long enough when I changed it this Summer. Also added a few ounces to the T-case and greased my u-joints.

D-Ring Swivel Bushings. Anybody might be interested in swivel bushings for the D-Rings ? A member brought it to my attention it might be something folks would like that I could do in my shop. It allows the D-Ring to spin. He did his and everyone who sees them like them. I know the Dodge D-Rings are decent and will look into furnishing the D-Ring and bushing if possible. Just feeling it out. Thanks

Ordered new LCAs and JBA high caster uppers. Sick of the alignment shops around here not being able to align my truck even though the dealership could do it fine before i moved. Plus the extra caster should be a nice change for high way driving!

Stripped the old ball joints and bushings from the SPC UCA’s that a member donated to me to accommodate the Fox 2.5’s I purchased. New parts should be here this week. In the mean time I’ll strip the paint from these and get some silver on them.

Yea I'm thinking if I run a ground from the nut through the bed to the frame I'll be good. But now I'm starting to think I should just use a regular coax cable since I'm not even really using the fire ring part. More research to be had....lol

I used just the firestik stud (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002HRBSU/ref=od_aui_detailpages01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) instead of going with the firering.

The stud also recommends not using a ground cable connected directly to the stud as well but I did have to scrape around where it mounted because it relies on the mount point to be grounded. Since the beds are mostly composite you will probably have to run a ground wire from the bracket to your frame no matter what. Just make sure you scrape off powder coating wherever you run the ground wire as well cause the powder coating will cause an issue there as well.

Oh ok, I follow what you're saying a bit better now. Basically you're creating a better grounded bracket (or in my case, bed stiffener). Not a grounded stud
