Yep, always list a little above, you need to make the buyer feel like he won. Especially if he has his wife with him. The wife can always be a problem in what we need. I say list it for $1500 above Kbb for your zip code, let him talk you down to $500 above or even with Kbb.

when dealerships say mods and add ons add no value take your truck in, see what they'll offer then tell them youre going home to take off your parts and see how they react.

I just KBb mine. I added all the extras....seems accurate.
Its also desirable by the market majority so you should be on the higher side.
I wouldn't sell it to a dealer dealership.
We have no interest in the truck itself to them it's another asset that they want to make a profit out of.
Selling your vehicle to a dealership or trading it in is like taking something to the pawn shop.
You get way more putting it on Craigslist and taking the time to sell it to somebody that's looking for what you got.
All used vehicles I've ever purchased of come from the private Market.
You never know what you're getting at a dealership.
I think people kind of recognize that so you can get more money in the private Market.

May want to try and meet in three or four people at the same time in the same place if you try to sell it on the private Market.
It gives the appearance of demand and dealing with flakes constantly calling you asking you to meet and running around to show it.... it's a full-time job trying to sell a vehicle it's also a full-time job trying to buy used vehicle.
If you make a serious buyer wait a day or two while you set up a few other serious buyers at the same time and place you'll get better results.

Might not work on a commuter bucket....lol But hes got a desired model and its a good looking rig.
No one's going to find that vehicle at a decent price on a lot.
So you're absolutely right getting a bidding war going on that particular vehicle is going to keep him in the top dollar range but the buyer is still going to pay less than they would have down at Jukes Used Buckets. Tacomas are way overpriced at the used dealership. That one should get him what hes asking easily....if he can wade thru the flakes and time suckin tire kickers.

I think in most zip codes a clean Tacoma, (Esp. one that is a bit unusual) will sell a bit north of the kbb, I also would not cut the accessories short, the buyer would have you believe they are worthless, far from the truth, nice accessories will catch every buyers attention. certainly not what they cost, but they clearly have value!! if it were me I would start with the kbb + 5-10%, & 30% of the cost of accessories, What the heck, that is a beautiful well taken care of truck, you can always drop some if the need arises. jmop

Realistically, you're about 20k private party, 18k dealer sale.

KBB is useless nowadays. NADA is good if you want a bank to finance your car.

The BEST source at the moment is cargurus. Look at what your truck is being sold for in your area by dealers (I did the work for you, 22-24k). Subtract 2-4k from that for your private value. subtract 6-8k for your dealer sale value.

It’s worth what a willing seller and buyer agree upon, unless financed, then KBB/NADA rules.
