Does/has anyone else used at home lumbar traction? Actual traction, not an inversion table.

    I wanted an MT.
I had a chiropractor use traction on me to relieve some issues in my Lumbar Spine... and it absolutely worked, I have before and after MRI and Xrays to prove it... his methods provided me major relief.

I have been getting traction at the VA. It provided relief from the pain for about 8 hours, then it came back. I am now using an at home unit but it doesnt last as long. However, I dont have to wait for an appt at the VA when my back is hurting.
I have to have surgery again, just waiting for them to approve the referral and send me up to neuro.

Update: at home unit doesnt seem to be doing much.
Had my first appt with a local chiropractor today. Appearently, my body was out of whack enough that there was a difference in leg length by about an inch. It was enough that he had another person come in and take a couple pictures to send to my doc at the VA. I know my gate is a little off kilter, but that seems to me like it would require a lot of compensation from the back and muscles in it.
