I only aired down to 30psi, no onboard air :( Having conditions like this kind of made me think of things I should probably get for the build. I have to say I was really glad I brought the traction boards though. Threw those down on a spot we got caught and it was so easy to get out. I was thinking of getting another set because I only have 2 right now. I also learned quite a bit about off road driving in general so overall it was a good trip.

Ya, having a good recovery kit is always good to have.

Just a foot or so from that photo i was already up to the body line, didnt really test out how deep it was with a stick but with no winch figured it was safest just to turn around at that point. Im going to be on Kauai for a week. But ill post again. Hopefully someone whos been up there more can come with and show some of the off trails.

Does the hiking permit authorize overnight camping?

I am pretty sure its only for hiking. No camping. I can double check the permit later.

I misunderstood your previous post. I thought you were planning to use your hiking (day pass) permit to go camping overnight.

So, you've already got your camping permit for next weekend?

Will you be able to get passed the mud pit that Chex808 turned around at?

Yeah, I already have the camping permit for next weekend. I hope I can make it past that mud pit. He said it was about a foot deep. I might try going up this weekend to see since I have the hiking pass, but would like to have someone else with me just in case.

My pass is still good...couldn’t make with Chex them yesterday. It rained like crazzy today....that puddle might be bigger now.
