Looking for some help with power source for the Runnin4Taco lights. They had them running to the headlight 10A fuse in the box with an add-a-fuse, but I would prefer them to operate with the LED DRLs.

I tried the DRL and Fog 10A fuses, but they were giving constant power (even when DRLs/vehicle were turned off). The headlight fuse worked well and only supplied power when the headlights were turned on.

What is the best way to tap into the DRL lights?

For those with a 2005-2011 grille before the small refresh, I have a few questions:

    1. How did you install 3 lights? My grille has a connecting tab in the center holding it together.

    2. What was your spacing between the 3 lights?

I realize that I'm a couple years late to the party, but I've been researching the various ways to wire Raptor Style Lights, and without a doubt this ^^^ is the best idea that I've seen yet.

    Thanks for the inspiration!

Hey Mike....meant to ask you a while back. I like the quick disconnect you added. I want to add one for easier grill removal. I looked around for a 2 wire water proof connector at some auto stores. But nothing. Where did you get yours?

If I couldn't find it local...I was just going to order something like this.

Did you use prefab metal brackets or fabricate them yourself?

I may do this as well since my 07 doesn't have a lot of room under the upper part of the grille to drill holes to run the lights.

I purchased (3) lights but I may have to buy a 4th one since the 05-11 grille has a connecting tab right in the center, blocking where the light would shine.

I wanted to do this, but because of the tab in the middle, I dont think I can.

4 may be better for the 05-11 grill.

And the reason I went with those lights is they're considerably brighter than the bolt LEDs most people run.

Currently working on re-doing my raptor lights.

These are my old Oznium bolt LED’s, they work great but are very small and not too bright.

This is how I originally installed them for those who may wonder

I found some Blazer 2 5/8 marker lights at home depot for $1.53. For that price, why the hell not buy 3. I just hot glued them into place, and wired them up.

These are 20x brighter than my previous ones! Extremely happy with them, I’ll post more pics at night later.

Comparison between the two, the picture doesnt do it justice, there is a BIG difference in output and brightness in person.

Very nice. They do look a lot better. As you can see from mine, I decided to not use the bolt LEDs.

These lights are approx 1" x 2" with 3 LEDs per light. Noticeable even in sunlight.
