    Those things suck. More of a pain than they are worth. If grip strength is the issue, still style of rivet gun will work much better for you.

    Seems like some people are going through some trouble with the rivets. Why not use screws, you can even use Loc Tite for extra hold and maybe even some water resistance.

    I used self tapping screws, rock solid, easy to remove, easy to install.

    Rivets suck

    I saw what you used but I only had big screws on hand and wanted to use what was in the kit. Little did I know how big of a fight they would put up. I might buy a size smaller self tapping to use the holes already made, or just re-do the rivets with a proper gun.

    I don't mind the rivets. Once you get them on they hold tight, I can't feel any play on the snorkel on the a-pillar at all even giving it some strength...only downside is that they'd be a lot more of a pain to remove if you ever want to take the snorkel off but mine is on for good.

    Rivets are not at all hard to remove. Just use a drill and sharp bit. Just takes a couple seconds.

    Also your left with the same size hole you can reuse. With screws in thin metal, the hole can to wallow out over time. Especially with vibration.
