You have to be able to hold a 4 run lead period. Madson was lights out for us in 2015. Get 6 from the starter and Madson, Herrera, Davis . . . game over.

But he was only 35 then.

Not a Boston fan but I was actually surprised they did not sweep the entire post season. They were that good.

 

Players win with hitting and defense, managers win managing pitchers. Regular season doesn't highlight this but does set up the staff going into the playoffs. This is why Dusty has never won no matter how good the team he managed, he just doesn't understand how to use a staff, he just uses them up. Ex catchers have an advantage in that they have a wealth of game experience no other position player can match.

 

Dusty Baker managed an entire wing of the HOF and still couldn't win the big one. As a Cub fan I couldn't despise a manager any more than Baker. He ruined Pryor and Wood.

 

Baker was 5 outs from winning the World Series with the Giants and screwed that up pretty good with his shitty pitching decisions.

 

Meanwhile SF goes to their daddy LA for next prez of bb ops. Proving once again the blue crew reign supreme.

What up?!?! I think the Dodgers just traded Puig and the other dudes to make space for Bryce Harper, but I don't think Bryce will come to LA. The dodgers need to get rid of Clayton Kershit so they can fucking win a WS. Dodgers lost both World Series at home.

 

Surprised that 1. I've never seen this thread before and 2. The last post was more than a month ago considering the recent stories leading up to spring training.
