Rear Wiper has a mind of it's own on my 08 T4R

I know I'm not the only one that will click the rear wiper on and off and let it do its 3 wipes then back to park. Well recently (yesterday actually) I noticed that when I clicked it off, it would do 3 more random wipes then park itself wherever it pleased on my back glass. As you know, you can't roll down your back window unless your rear wiper is parked at its home location and I use mine quite often so this could potentially be an issue in the future. Eventually, if I continue to play with it, it will find its way back home and the issue is resolved...until I turn it back on. I haven't dug into much yet to really try and see what's going on but was just curious if anyone else has had this happen to them and if so what was the issue/remedy?
